Location is excellent in - walking distance to most major attractions. Lots of good restaurants close by. Room size was great, very spacious and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel arranged an airport pick up and drop off for us which was helpful. We were also able to check out very late as there was no one needing the room immediately after us. We rented bikes from a small bike shop close by (details were at the reception), and saw even more of the city. Just be careful of t.
all reviews » Location is great! Breakfast - in the room or on the common terrace - very good. This is a b&b on the 2nd floor of an old block, and once you get to the 2nd floor it's excellent, the rooms are large, well fitted out, clean and well serviced. However, although the booking photos show the plaza, the entrance to the building is a steel barred gate on a small side street which the taxi found tough to locate. The initial impression from the entrance gate is therefore not as expected. We loved this quiet little B&B. The staff was amazing. We lost our luggage and Carlotta helped us work with the airlines to track down our luggage. She even went as far to offer to bring my wife some clothes to wear until our luggage showed up. Thomas brought us breakfast to our room every morning. The room was clean and spacious. The location was amazing. We could walk everywhere. If we go back to Rome, we would definitely stay there again. Location, staff and size of room for three people were very good. It is a small B&B, so you feel like you are staying in someone's home as opposed to a big hotel. Paolo gave us restaurant recommendations and Thomas was very accommodating in bringing our breakfast to our room early several mornings because tours we had scheduled. Warm hospitality and pleasant rooms! We enjoyed our stay very much and the location was perfect- we were able to walk around the city from our hotel and were 5 minutes from kosher food in the nearby Jewish ghetto. Having a throw over the bed is a bit outdated and unhygienic (although it fitted with the room decor). There's a lot of noise from the street so you have to keep the windows closed at night. There's no lift, so if you're weak and feeble you may not want to climb 4 flights of stairs every time you come in or go out. Wifi worked, but only near reception, not in the room. Weak wifi signal in room. We had to go in the hallway to get a decent signal. Breakfast was good, but somewhat limited selection. No meats, cheeses or fruit, only coffee, juice, bread, cereal and yogurt. The bread and coffee were very good. We didn't realize that the Relais was on the 4th floor of the building with no elevator. But really wasn't a problem for us. Nothing. walking up 3 flights. Hard to find as it's in an apartment block, down a back alley! receptionist lady wasn't very friendly or helpful - make sure you ask about when/where breakfast is before she leaves. No information or map given to help with the sightseeing. This is NOT a hotel - it's rooms within an apartment, no dining room. Make sure you find out EXACTLY where it is before you arrive in Rome, difficult to find. Lots of loud music playing ALL night, EVERY night.
