The staff were helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them. Although there is no restaurant at the hotel the Concierge was able to rcommend and book tables at local restaurants. The rooms are fantastic - extremely clean, the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms - wow!. Elegant hotel. Beautiful room with excellent amenities, a quiet oasis of green in the city. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. At the rate we paid (89 euro), it was an outstanding value given the hotel's quality.

It smelled, the air conditioning didn't work so the room was very hot. We opened the door to the terrace ( the only means of ventilation) and alerted the hotel staff. They could not explain the musty smell and said the air conditioning was linked into the main hotel but they would see what they could do.The room was on the small side; also not in the heart of the city (although it is within a 5-minute walk to several transport lines into the center and other tourist sites). The breakfast room was crowded and ineffecient.The only downside was the directions to get to the hotel from the metrobologna . straight up april 21 to memorial the left to carlo fea wouldbe the best way. the small breakfst room had too much furniture which made it uncomfortable. could do with tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. no bottle opener for mini bar. The staff and the service were way below the 4 stars standard. Poorest breakfast I had in decades, wireless LAN only temporarily available, services (airport pickup) promised but not fullfilled, etc. ran out of red wine- apparently?. Breakfast cold very limited drinks in bar and very expensive. service. For a clearly very recently decorated and fitted out hotel, the quality of finish was poor (screws not tighted, loo seats loose, etc.). The worste thing though was that the heating/AC controls in the rooms seemed to have no effect and the rooms were unbearably hot at night. no room service, few stuff, no blankets (!!!)- had to use bed cover, no free bottled drinking water. Poor service. The front desk did not really covered our needs, and during Breakfast not enough service. Small tables for breakfast. Very poor breakfast for a 4 star hotel (very bad bread and fruit). The facilities are non exsistentant, There is no resturant, No where set aside to sit outside in the very nice guarden. The air conditioning did not work. neitheir did the room minibar fridge and after complaints these were greated with a shoulder shrug. Breakfast if you are not amogst the first be prepaired for a poor selection, Very suspisious about the shampoos as they seemed to be already used. We then found there was no hot water. We alerted the staff again and was told they would sort it out. It was 6 pm . At almost 9 we again asked where the hot water was or if there was some where we could at least shower. There was nothing . At 10.30 we asked them to help us find an alternative hotel, they couldn't and we moved at our own expence to another hotel. They charged us for using the room.
