Via Ottaviano 9 is a 5 minute walk from Ottaviano metro stop and Musei Vaticani. Francesco and Angela were very helpful and cordial. I appreciated both their patience and promptness. Look for the buzzer on the right jamb of the main door. There is an elevator for heavier bags up to the 5th floor. My wife and I had a good time. Especially at night when the crowds leave and the vibe is more local for dinner. As always, speaking a little Italian (Iitalian for travelling) goes a long way. This is.
all reviews » The location is perfect, just besides the red line metro stop Ottaviano, which makes you easy to access to many sight seeing places in Rome. The B&B itself is also pretty close to the Vatican Museum, actually you can see the wall of Vatican at the street. The staff there is very kind and helpful, the room is clean and comfort. We visited the B&B during a trip to Rome, when we booked it last moment at discounted rates. We were attracted by the interiors and the gorgeous location (Across the road from Vatican). Staff all spoke English, and were very helpful. Access to the coffee machine throughout the day was also a blessing for my partner :d. The hotel is located strategically at just 400 meters of Piazza San Pietro. You will not find luxury but you will find a very good bed, very clean with all things you need. People who work there are committed in helping you for having a great staying and affordable experience in Rome. I fully recommed it. The location was excellent, only a few mins walk to the Vatican and there was a metro stop also a few mins walk away which you could take to the collseum. The staff were very friendly. We also found a lovely restaurant right beside the restaurant on the corner which had excellent food at great prices. The location was excellent. It was an easy walk from the Metro and near to the Vatican. The area was relatively quiet with a good selection of local restaurants for an evening meal. As a group of three, the owner gave us an apartment including a small kitchen area and two bedrooms which was a bonus!. The staff was very friendly and brought us our breakfast to our room every morning. The rooms were very clean and newly renovated, with air conditioning, tv and walk-in closet. All good except for two things: during the August heat the air conditioner it was not enough as noisy and did not reach the fresh air, I could not connect to internet. Very near the Vatican City and in front of a very good guide agency to visit it. You could take the metro (3 min away) and visit all Rome. Due to a booking issue at Ancient Romance when we arrived at the premises we were moved to the second B&B owned by the owner Sleeping Romance (Not an uncommon practice in Rome). However,the proximity to metro, helpful staff and same style of decor meant that this not really an issue. Location may have been slightly less beautiful, but much more convenient for us with our heavy bags. I would recommend to add a set of additional hand towel. I found the bed extremley uncomfortable. The breakfast was also pretty basic and there was only 2 tables to sit at. However you made your own breakfast which had nice toast and a hot cup of tea. The breakfast was adequate (pastry, yoghurt, bread) rather than inspiring, but overall the b & b represented good value for money. It is on the 6th floor though. If the lift was not working it would be a very long walk up for those with a disability or young children. When we arrived to check-in no one was there and we had to wait 40 mins for someone to come and open the door. I don't have any complaints about my stay. air conditioner didn't work properly. Wifi worked only next to front door. Payment in cash only . Wifi didn't work in room - had to go into the hallway to get a signal , where the Reuter is . The breakfast is not good. Bed sheets were not frequently changed during my five nights and also the towels. TV channels were limited,. Basic equipment and breakfast, but reasonable to this price. Poor quality rooms Breakfast was horrible Hot water in shower lasted for 5 minutes.
