  The facilities were excellent and newly refurbished. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was also quite good. They stored our luggage for us on the last day after checkout. The location was excellent - very close to the train station and the city sites. We were very impressed by the hotel, and it exceeded our expectations. The rooms and linen were immaculate, everything one would want in a toiletry bag was there and the breakfast was superb. The central location amongst the shops was a joy for my wife.   Excellent hotel. Booked it from the reviews on line and I can't praise the hotel and staff enough. We paid a little extra for a room overlooking the lake and the view was well worth it. Very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Ferry stop to all the touristy places was right outside the hotel and there are restaurants and bars nearby. Parking is available about a 5 min walk away for a small charge. - Great location, around the corner from the lakefront promenade with its luxury hotels, including the 150 year old Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees, of Hemingway (A Farewell to Arms) fame. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Giuseppe, who greeted us on arrival and daily with a warm smile and two-handed handshake. A short walk to everything, downtown shopping and restaurants and the ferries to the islands in the lake. Generous breakfast buffet with home-baked cakes and pastries.

  Beautiful view over Lake Como. The hotel room was well appointed and had a spectacular view up and down the Lake. The food and staff in the restaurant were of a high standard and very helpful. Front desk staff even drove us around when it started to rain.   It was very peaceful, enjoyed the views of the lake and was a great place to relax as we wanted to spend a few days without too much driving etc. The hotel has a beautiful location, views from the terrace/pool were amazing. And the centre of the town was but a few steps away, so got to sample some nice friendly resturants etc. - We loved our room... what people say » , on the third floor with a spacious terrace and view over the lake and pool.   I was very impressed by this hotel! I moved from one of the 4 starhotels in the area to here to save some money and found this wasactually much better! The room we got was huge, had a bath, provided areally good breakfast included with the room and at the time wassubstantially cheaper!   I had a wonderful stay in Rocche Costamagna with my wife in Nov 2013. Got the famous Room No. 4 with 3 balconies (one is in the toilet!) and able to capture the stunning view over the Barolo valley. Room is beautifully and modernly decorated.   I Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting friends in nearby La Loggia. What can i say after reading some previous reviews i was a little weary but after visiting i will definatly stay here again. The staff were all very helpful and the rooms even though a little dated were ideal for myself.
