Our room was beautiful--the entire hotel is decorated with flower motifs and someone has obviously paid a great attention to detail. Breakfast in the bar was buffet style but contained a surprisingly good selection. The staff were very helpful and the location is very good--less than ten minutes from the Leaning Tower, and even closer to fine dining in the wonderful Osteria dei Cavalieri. all reviews »
I really don't want to tell everyone... but what a great find! Keep up the good work. Breakfast okay, but nothing special. Dead centre, romantic looking rooms, great details.The decor was lovely, staff helpful, good breakfast, location convenient for everything. very excellent value for money. Very recommendable. Beautiful little hotel and a gorgeous room. The service staff was second to none! Great location close to the Leaning Tower!. Charming, well-placed hotel. Location was very convenient, keeping us close to the attractions, but still able to escape the crowds. Rooms were beyond my expectaitions and showed recent renovations. Staff was extremely accomodating even with some unusual requests. Food was very good.Rooms where very clean and the bathroom considering the price of stay was luxurious (the walk in shower after a long flight was brilliant!!!). The staff where very helpfull and gave great recommendations for restaurants and best way to get to Florence. The location was excellent. There was no reception open when we arrived (23:30 due to late-scheduled flight), so we had to walk 5 minutes to sister hotel (the Orelogio) to collect the key and back again. Would have liked to have relaxed in the bar at night but it closed about9, but that would not put me off returning again.Restricted reception hours. Our flight arrived late at night the reception was closed. Before our trip I emailed the hotel for arrangements to deal with this - no reply. I faxed the hotel - no reply. Eventually I had to phone. Hotel should provide details of reception at sister hotel in its booking information. the air conditioning did not work in my room...when i made my initial bookoing with this hotel. some one had already complainded about this..evidently nothing had been done with regards to this prior to our arrival.. therefore i do feel this was lacking on your behalf as to tjhe standards you are trying to attain. as above but it is in a good area in vicinity of major attractions. the heat in the bedroom became uncomfortably hot during the night and not enough information regarding altering the temperature of the room was provided. Also so felf that the staff on reception should start slightly earlier as myself and husband wished to complain and couldn't speak to anyone on reception until 8am. We had to leave at this time to catch a train to our next destination.Definitely not 5 star!! We were told we could have a complimentary drink at 6.30 in the bar, however, the next morning we were charged 30 euros for 2 glasses of wine and 2 coffees (there were no tea/coffe making facilities in our room) (it wasn't even that expensive in the most touristy parts of Florence)!. the hotel closed for a few hours during the day,including bar and reception.Personel not much service oriented, not english speaking. room size, no heating, no reception at certain times.It si an BandB with small rooms, breafast poor. Quite clean. Constant smell in the elevator.
