Location...a side street which is a few hundred yards from the Cathedral in one direction and Michelangelo's David (Museum) in the other, within walking distance from the railway station and everything else in central Florence. Good, Large Room. For a family of four we had a double and two single beds. (Lorenzo Room). Breakfast was fantastic. We had scrambled eggs with Bacon on the last which are the best I've tasted. The cold meats and cheeses were also of exceptional quality. Friendliness...g.

The location is fantastic, the place is quaint, art-deco and very chic, and a word of appreciation is due for the Manager's/ overseer's of the property, Mr. Lorenzo & Ms. Laura. We have never met such helpful, considerate or polite hotel staff ever, even in luxury hotels. They went out of their way to may our stay memorable! We strongly recommend the place. We loved this place. The location cannot be beat. Lorenzo is a very gracious host and recommended a fabulous restaurant just steps away from the hotel. Be aware that there is no lift (not allowed because of the historic designation of the building) and you will have to climb stairs (2nd floor). It is very quiet, with high ceilings and beautiful architectural details. It's actually more of a B&B than a hotel. The staff was outstanding, Lorenzo the manager was fantastic he made our stay one of the best we have had. The gourmet breakfast was fantastic. The chef was eager to prepare anything we wanted. Always smiling and friendly faces to talk to you and assist in all our requests. The décor of the entire bed and breakfast was beautiful. Located within a few short minutes walk from everything. The room was large, beautiful, clean and just perfect. The staff was so kind and helpful. We had signed up for a tour, and had to leave 30 min. Before breakfast started, and yet they set it up for us so we could have breakfast that day before we left. It was an amazing and wonderful experience!. Everything was excellent! The staff, in particular Lorenzo and Laura took care of our every need. What a classy place, beautifully decorated. Very nice breakfast selection and they will make eggs for you as well. He is definitely one of the best hotel staff that we have met, offered a hand for our bags, well explained places and routes we should take and visit, a very friendly gentleman. Wifi connection is great; Location is perfect, right in the heart of Florence. Room was tidy and shower was great. The room was attractive and the bathroom was large. The water ran hot but the sink made a horrible high pitched sound when running hot water. The bed comfy! Breakfast was perfect and the food always seemed fresh. (note: there are 2 flights of stairs to climb for people with bad knees). Good location, friendly staff. Lovely clean rooms & great location! Breakfast was wonderful & there were lots of facilities & personal touches. Area was quiet but only minutes away from the "action". Two flights of stairs...did not bother us at all as we didn't mind this and had hand luggage, but it's fair to mention if you have massive luggage of just don't like climbing stairs. No lift, so elderly people may have a bit of a problem climbing up, but the helpful staff are more than willing to assist. So that's hardly a deterrent. Just remember, no lift. A little difficult to find but once you do you won't be disappointed. No concerns. Two flights of stairs might not suit some people . Nothing. Was a bit hard to find , just needs better direction .But when found wasnt far from the train station. The situation with the keys got a bit of getting used to, no glasses in room, no coffee,plenty of tea though, when we asked for glasses there was no problem. breakfast space is limited when all guests are there at the same time. Directions and check in process - you could find yourself stranded outside should you arrive the wrong time, that is if you found it. No bath. The long stairway with luggage was difficult. everyday room cleaning. difficult to get to by car do not even consider trying to park near by. must time your arrival, reception not laways available. rooms more than free tables for breakfast. no lift, difficult if travel with luggages shower water is not hot, almost cold. Absence of lift. the only thing i would say is the variety of breakfast. But still they are quite enough. The staff only work specific hours and so there is rarely someone there to assist you. They are only available during mid-day which is when most people like to be sightseeing. Althought the hotel is attractive, I expected more for the price we were paying. Sink in bathroom did not drain. Staff knew about this. Didn't see much staff but the ones we did see were lovely. There was also A LOT of stairs which wouldn't be ideal for some.
