a most magnificent experience (Nov 2008) huge thank you to all staff at the castle - definitely highlight of our overseas holiday. the quality and comfort of our room plus the courteous welcome. Castle Motif. Elegant. the quiet surroundings and peaceful atmosphere.Ambience excellent. the castle and my room were very beautiful. The size of bed,. Nice breakfast with delicious bread, big rooms.Shame the new wing got such dodgy builders in. Although very confortable the build quality was shocking. The hotel gave signs of it seeing better times.There was no welcome at all, we just got the keys. Way overpriced, especially compared to our good experiences with other Irish accommodations.

The restaurant has 2 RAC awards for dining and the chefs aim to cater for all tastes and fancies. Home grown, traditional Irish and continental cuisine are all served. You will find a wine from the large cellar to compliment any meal.
Breakfast is served from 08:00 till 10:00.
The restaurant is open from 19:00 till 21:00 and the bar until late.

There are 2 rooms suitable for conferences and meetings that accommodate up to 80 and 150 people respectively. The castle also provides an ideal setting for a wedding reception.
The dining room overlooks the ancient oaks of the front lawn. In the library bar there is a great carved oak chimney piece that dates from 1627. There is a splendid banqueting hall where feasts and entertainment can be enjoyed in style.

You can tour the scenic Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, take walks along the picturesque banks of Killarney lakes and the hike around the Macgillycuddy Reeks.
