We liked everything about this Hotel ,its location was perfect as we were going to the Listowel races .Our room was very comfortable, we had a lovely breakfast , all the staff were very friendly ,only problem we were only there for one night ,We will definitely be back again . There were lovely views of the countryside from the hotel. Beautiful location just outside Tralee with superb view over the countryside. The room was spacious, tidy and clean and well worth the money. There was a small, but exquisite food market in Tralee with an excellent choice of local and homemade food such as cheese, chutneys and bakings.
all reviews » All the staff from reception, to housekeeping, night porter and waiter at breakfast the following morning were all so welcoming, genuine, helpful and courteous. It was very natural not poised like some hotel staff, you could tell that it appeared to be a lovely place to work. The hotel was old on outside, but inside was all renovated. The rooms were fantastic - large and clean, many outlets, great bathroom. Large dinner menu. Nice breakfast in a great room. Nice outside area. Excellent property for the price. Great value for money - rate was in the B&B range although it is a conference/group tour hotel (our visit was in March). Staff were helpful and friendly. Good views from the hotel over the countryside. Everything was excellent. I really like the place especially with the price I paid. One of the best place to stay and the breakfast is really nice. Thank you. I highly recommend this place. My Nephew had his wedding there, on the 9th of Feb, and myself and my daughter stayed there that night, the reception and food was excellent, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Very spacious and comfortable room and public spaces. Restaurant has superb views of the local mountains and serves the BEST breakfast in Ireland! I'll definitely stay here again. Plenty of free parking, excellent views from the bar/restaurant. Not having another night to enjoy more. Nothing. Upon check-in the room, probably unused for days, was cold (two sides were exterior walls, one side an unheated corridor) and remained unpleasantly cold during the first night, even with the heater fully on. Second night was okay since staff left the heater on during the day. The walk from the reception to the room was long. The tv was small but, I did not expect a tv in the room with the price I paid :)... Would like if there were more ( clearer ) directions to get there.....found it a bit difficult to find..... A need for a spa/treatement and swiming pool would be nice but not essentail with the coast and beaches close by. It appeared from the photos to have a nice restaurant, but in fact they just have a bar/bistro with a pool table and TVs showing sport. This was very disappointing. The temperature of the room was cold. Nothing. Bathroom lighting was poor, casting a shadow over your face when looking into the mirror. No instructions on which TV channels were available. The evening meal was of average quality.
