Room was small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.bathroom. nothing. Parking is a bit of a challenge with limited off-street parking. We weregone during most of the day-time hours when street parking was metered,so it wasn't a real problem for us. Parking problems.the noise of the boiler. Lack of parking with the hotel. I was dissapointed that there were no lifts in the hotel. I was stayingon the 3rd floor and had to bring bags up and down stairs. I think thehotel could do with a lift. Also it was the first hotel I have stayed inthat I had to pay for parking everyother hotel has car parks or elsethey take care of parking fees. It is annoying to have to keep puttingmoney in the metre. car parking. When I checked in they sent me to a room which was under renovation a simple error but shouldnt have happened. Lack of car parking or other arrangements for guests with cars. No lift; however assistance with bags if required was offered. Also check in initally was to a room that was already occupied!!. tv not working properly and most stations not available. hairdryer broken, sink in toilet blocked, both reported not fixed we were toled that the rooms were just upgraded. No off street parking. Constantly going to and from car to ensure valid parking ticket. Also, excessive street noise from revellers immediately outside premises until 5am.dark rooms, service reception could be more friendly, bad parking possibilities, breakfast buffet should include fruits. Paying for a facility that i never got to use, the attitude of the management. Once they get your money they dont want to know you.

Samuel Restaurant, renowned for its superb cuisine, high standards and intimate relaxing atmosphere, yet suitable for both formal and informal occasions, is one of the finest restaurants in Tralee. Head chef Ray provides an a la carte and 4-course table d'hote menu each evening. Enjoy a delightful cuisine in the dining room, where attention and creativity is the hallmark.
Samuel's is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
Lunch: 12:30 - 14:30.
Dinner: 18:00 - 21:30.
The restaurant of the hotel, on the west side of Denny Street, was once the office of Mr. Samuel Hussey (1824-1913), one of the most notorious and colourful land agents in 19th century Ireland.
The traditional style pub is known locally as The Pikeman Bar, so called as the Pikeman Statue (“Croppy Boy”) is just outside the front door on the main street.
The bar food menu is second to none and offers a wide and extensive choice of excellent food at moderate prices. The bar food menu finishes at 21:30 to facilitate our traditional Irish music sessions every Friday night all year round and nightly during summer months, which have proved very popular with local and visiting customers alike.
Divided into 2 sections, the section nearest the street was once the location of the local post office and home of Oliver Rowland Mason, Postmaster. The ornate ceilings, hand carved furniture, and fireplaces are testament to that fact. The main features of the bar are 2 open fires, wood panelled walls and traditional leaded glass, all combining to give a warm and welcoming atmosphere to Tralee's most popular and historic pub.
