  Lovely building, good location, easy to find. Short walking distance from the town centre but really quiet, despite the closeness of Lidl and Supervalue. Clean, bright, spacious. Great shower!   fab house could easily accommadate 8, spotlessly clean, everything you could want in a self catering house - House was amazing, really spacious and clean beds were really comfortable couldn't have asked for more.

  Lovely friendly staff who greeted us each time and were really helpful and chatty. It had a family feel which was lovely. The breakfast was delicious and a full cooked breakfast was included in the room rate, not just a continental. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was also a very clean laundromat over the road which was handy an... what people say » d the hotel was at the top of the main street so we walked to fantastic shops and restaurants a few minutes down the road. There was also parking out - Stayed 1 night so that we would have an early start on our drive around the Ring of Kerry. Lansdowne was the perfect hotel for our brief stay. The staff was very friendly and even though there was no elevator, the staff was more than helpful in carrying very heavy bags up the beautiful staircase. I would definitely recommend to anyone that they stay at this fine hotel.

  After quite a long journey from Galway, we received a lovely, warm welcome from our hostess. The view from The Waterside was absolutely beautiful (even in the rain!!!) and our bedroom and en suite were lovely. Breakfast was a choice from a range of food, which was great.   The Lodges were excellent, very well kitted to a high spec. Loved the touch of the fire log left for guests plus the tea/coffee/milk - very welcoming. - New and excellent place to stay. I was staying in Kenmare for a wedding that was held a few miles outside the town ( in Dromquinna Manor, which is fabulous for a wedding,btw) and Pat offered to drop me out to the venue. Very kind. The room has everything you need and was perfectly clean but this isn't the Ritz so if you're fussy it m... what people say » ight not suit you. If on the other hand you want a proper "Irish Welcome" from a wonderful host then this is the place for you. Breakfast was deliciou - The host, Pat, is a gentleman who was most obliging and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Bed and room were extremely comfortable. I had a great night's sleep - much better than reported by friends who stayed in a renowned hotel nearby! TV that actually worked. Free wifi Great location - if you know the shortcut and walk briskly, you're within 5 mins of the centre of Kenmare. Kenmare Bay and Brook Lane Hotels are just around the corner.

  This trip was with myself, my sister and our mother. Julia was a perfect host and exemplified the Irish welcoming spirit we found throughout Ireland. The location was perfect, as it was close to town and easy to find and access, but had a lovely country feel, with beautiful grounds filled with flowers and fruit trees. It was perfect location for shopping in the picturesque town of Kenmare; fabulous shops for everything Irish, without the crazy tourist feel found - A most engaging hostess who will cheerfully answer local inquiries a head of time by e-mail, as time permits. We occupied a pleasantly attic loft that was converted for 4 (en suite). There was plenty of room and felt very homey. There is plenty of parking and a lovely brook and garden for relaxing. If we were staying in lower County Kerry for an extended period, we would certainly use this as our home base.
