Pool, sauna and gym were good for relaxing too.all reviews »
The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious. There was a nice, intimate, warm atmosphere in the bar. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. the hotel was in a quiet place easy access to town the staff were lovely the place was relaxing the swiming pool was lovely iwe had a very relaxed weekend thank you. It was only a few minutes away from the town and walks around the area. Staff were only too happy to makes suggestions for places to see and things to do. centrally located, very friendly and efficient staff, very good leisure centre, good sized well laid out room with big tv. good value dinner menu. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. The bar was lovely staff very helpful. Would return again. Also found the hotel very relaxing. I liked pretty much everything about the hotel. The leisure centre was excellent and spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely on a whole. The lodge has excellent space for a family , facilities were excellentincluding the leisure centre and the staff were more than helpful. The use of the pool and sauna and the general area and quickness to the town using the path which was great as we have a small baby. The addition of the Leisure Resort was a terrific bonus, and was of great use when the weather was so bad. Fab spacious rooms. in-room thermostat (some hotels are either too hot or too cold) and the leisure centre. comfortable and clean, friendly staff. pleasant atmosphere. Very Relaxing and staff were very friendly. Superb lodges finished to high spec. great location and good size rooms.Everything was well done. Everything. As soon as we walked in we were given our room keys. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was perfect. The value for money was also excellent and the service impecable. Plesant atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff at reception. Staaf were very helpfull. Location to the town. Hotel facilities. proximity to kenmare town kettle in room quitness at night. `The Superior Rooms were great and very peaceful. Very enjoyable break. The spa facilities. The leisure centre, the bar and restaurant food was excellent the reception staff were very friendly and courtous. The hotel is located only 5 mins from the town centre - and the town is really clean and the people are friendly.Friendly helpful staff, good facilities, great location. Tea and coffee available in the very luxurious lodge. Nice clean good service. staff were helpful. lovely settees and chairs in the corridors made up for lack of lounge!. Location to amenities and attractions in the area. Great Food and Leisure Resort. the leisure resort. so clean and so well laid out, excellent for children. staff very courteous. provided towels and hats, excellent facility. leisure centre is well equipped. Our breakfast was delivered to our room on time and piping hot, considering you were at full capacity. which sad to same have rarely experienced in other hotels. It's proximity to the town of Kenmare. It is a three star hotel and does exactly what it says on the tin. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere.i liked my room. it was very nice indeed. location facilitis. Location, new modern hotel. Excellent facility. Convenience. Peaceful location and plentiful car parking. The hotel was lovely!. the pool. We do not want to make a complaint but wish to bring the following to your attention for future reference.Good Buffet Breakfast, leisure centre. parking could be better and no room to double park when unloading luggage.the swimming pool was cold. Dinner was not great. Not applicable. the bar food, while fairly priced, wasn't the best. i would highly recommend the hotel for staying in, but not for eating in. I did think the main bar could have been larger as once approx 20 guests were present it was full which was a pity as we had to go elsewhere. Bar a bit small. Dinner menu limited would need more variety. The older part of the hotel was a bit of a shock. They should just totally refurbish it instead of giving it a lick of paint (the smell of which was really overpowering). Thankfully we weren't staying in that part. The room at times was cold and the television was not very clear on all channels. No water in the rooms. Every thing was great except when we got to use the pool it was full of children as there were swimming lessons going on at that time but we just chose the wrong time to go there I think. Apart from that nothing to complain about. New years banquet was excellent apart from being served slow and too late. However food was excellent. the bar food was very over priced and the portions were very small and we were waiting far to long for the food to come. the bar area not manned properly ( new staff on board ) and very small bar area for the size of the hotel. Check out is 10am which was a bit too early in my opinion. We also were charged a €10 utility charge which I think should have been covered in the cost of the room already. The only complaint I would have is the fry at breakfast was overcooked. location a bit out of town and no shuttle service. Too many large groups which overwhelmed the bar and restaurant. Bathroom could have been cleaner. 2 euro per swim cap is excessive... We had a problem with lights in the room as did some of our friends who were also staying there. Apart from that no other problems. The fire alarm was set off at 3am and again at 4 am. Reception staff were almost unpleasant and rude. Oh, and there was no hot water in the shower.Bar was packed with vintage car rally so I retreated to the restaurant.Meal was very average for 50 Euros. The food was not nice-not value for money! We were not happy with the dinner, so we handed it back.i was placed in the old wing of the hotel, people who paid the same price as me had much nicer rooms in the new wing of the hotel. Hotel was very very busy with a motor bike rally, we found it difficult to have a drink or rather have somewhere to sit rather than our bedroom while having the drink and we therefore had to leave the hotel and go to another promises. The dining room was 'hectic' in the morning even though we did ask at reception for a 'time' when the rush would finish.Room was not as impressive as photos on web site - bathroom was old and in need of updating / redecorating - no shower lotions (empty), no shampoos, conditioners etc. Felt the room was over-priced and did not reflect the standard of the room. The room was not at all like the photographs on the website, our room was old fashioned and uncomfortable, not at all like the photographs. We stayed for just one night although we had booked for three.
