It well decorated and spotless clean. It's not far from Galway centre, it took me only 20 minutes to walk. If you end up taking a cab from eyre square it' costs around 8 euros if you want to compare the the prices with the guesthouses in the town centre. I would recommend this guesthouse to everyone, it's good value, comfortable and very clean. Unfortunately I stayed only for 1 night which makes it a bit difficult to comment about the staff but they all looked easy going and nice. Tea and coffe.

The hotel location, although not in the city centre, is good for those with car. The staff was excellent. Michael was the daytime staff person and he was warm, friendly, and had given us great 'sound' advice about travel safety! The Irish breakfast was most delicious and well worth it! The Guest House was very clean, and warm! The room was beautiful also very warm as it was cool in Ireland the week we visited, so a warm room at the end of the day was most appreciated! Overall, it was a good experience for me and my daughter! We would encourage others to stay if directions o. Lovely room. All areas extremely clean and well equipped. Exactly as you see in their photos. Great full Irish breakfast as well as a big selection of breads, cereals and fruit. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly reccomended. Cheaper than most hotels in the area and just as good. Absolutely everything. I stay in a lot of guesthouse's and b and b's with work and none of them even come close to this. It was top hotel standard, and the breakfast the next morning you definitely would not get in a lot of hotels. They are extremely professional. The house was very clean, quiet, and accommodating with tea-making stations on each level. The room was the perfect size for me with a nice en-suite. It was a lovely experience overall and I loved that it felt much more like a house than a hotel. The Breakfast was lovely. The staff were very welcoming. it was easy to find. The bedroom was funky. The breakfast was absolutely amazing ... the next time we will be in Galway, this will be our place to stay. the room was clean the staff was very nice and very helpfull i will definately be staying there again. B&B was comfortable (3 adults and a 1yr old baby), room was clean, breakfast was good too. good basic room with good facilities for self catering at very reasonable price. We found it by default so maybe more explicit directions need to be provided once entering Salthill. Also, the sign on the front of the building says "The Rise" with a different phone number than what is listed. But once we got there and talked to the manager, all was well and we enjoyed our stay! Accurate phone numbers and directions, always a plus! Thanks!. Nothing! Can't fault this place. Honestly cannot think of anything to dislike. It would have been nice if there were 'do not disturb' signs to hang on the door if needed. Landing made nosie when people walked on it. The only slight criticism I would make is that the bed was a bit too soft and spongy for my taste. It was definitely a long haul (approx. 40 min. walk) from the guesthouse to the City Center, but we had a rental car, so it was not an issue. I'm sure public transportation would've been available if needed as it was a quick 10 minute drive to the city. Nothing everything was perfect. No soap or shower gel in shower. The only thing I didn't like is that the tea/coffee making facilities are outside the room which I've never seen before. We didn't like our room's proximity to the entrance, since this created some considerable noise early in the morning and late at night. Nothing. It took us quite some time to get to the city centre though. I suppose this will not be a problem if you have enough money to buy a bus ticket or rent a car .... The small area with kettle and microwave was very dirty (we are stayed there for 2 nights), I had to clean that before hiting up the food for baby. reasonable walk to Salthill but rather too far from centre of Galway. Wifi sometimes does not work, far from the centre of Galway. some noisy guests during our stay. not quite walking distance to the beach. Was very expensive. Can' think of anything. I know its not often we get hot weather in ireland, but provision of a fan would have been nice!. Arrived and no one was there to check in, buzzer did not work finally another guest came out and pointed out another guesthouse down the street also owned by same. Had to,walk over to get someone to come and check us in. Not that much can be changed to this but there was a lot of stumbling going around on the floor above us which woke us up very early. Seemed like the guests above us were having a tap dancing session. For the rest everything very fine. The walls in the building seemed very thin as I was woken continually through the night, as was my friends, by the noise of other residents opening and closing doors and speaking loudly in the hallways. This continued well into the early hours of the morning. It would be good to put up a friendly sign and also to verbally remind guests that after 10pm it would be considerate to other residents to be as quiet as they could moving in and around the building. We were waiting outside the door for ten minutes before anyone came to the door. Service not great at breakfast. I had to approach the staff & ask for tea & ask could we order breakfast. More like student accommodation....communal tea/coffee facilities out on the landing in a small kitchen area....dirty dishes lying about in sink put me off making tea. Double bed very poor quality, matress was completed ruined on one side. Fan in bathroom rattled all night on second night as it was windy. Wi-Fi only worked by door to double bedroom and not at all in twin room. 15 year old spent most of her time in the corridor!. how to get in,code. The room was very hot with a very small window. We had to drag our luggage yup 3 flights of stairs. Felt it was over priced for what they offered. I didn't like the staff behaviour. I don't recommend it and I won't be back.
