Staff were excellent - couldn't fault any of them - we needed assistance moving our luggage when leaving, they couldn't have been more helpful - also very friendly towards our 9 month old daughter - Staff are worth an extra star alone for this hotel. Food was good and in line with expectations for a 3 star hotel. Daily specials interesting and good value for money. WiFi was patchy to begin with but once connected was excellent. Shopping centre close by also handy.
all reviews » I was immediately taken with the good humoured friendliness of the staff. They were accommodating and helpful, and welcoming. The rooms are clean and fresh, private (free & safe) parking is on site, and the location is perfect.. the city centre is within walking distance,, and only minutes away by taxi. As regular visitors to Galway, this could well be our 'new' home away from home. We'll definitely be back. The room was lovely and clean. although we didn't spend much time in it we had a bit of a break from driving before we went out. We loved Galway and will be returning and will recommend this hotels we will be staying again. It's convenient in location close to salthill also to center. after a night out we enjoyed a drink with some friendly locals. Great spot , taxi is only tenner into city centre ( always someone heading in ,,, asked for a shared trip , you'd be suprised how many will agree to split the fare ) , food was brill and worth the money , rooms clean and simply decorated , Quiet and nice location, loads off parking , We will be back :D. The staff were very nice, and very very friendly from reception to household and bar staff to night staff, the took very good care of me a must for anyone looking to get away. Did not stay for breakfast as I got a feed late and headed away very early. I will most definitely be staying again in the year. I spent one night in Galway and this hotel was perfect. The room I had was to the back of the hotel which looked out to nothing but the advantage was it was very quiet. The bathroom was very clean. it was spacious and clean, it was not a posh hotel but for value for money i have to say it was great. it is a short drive to the salthill beach and a short drive to the shopping facilities. Location in so far as we arrived the first day of the bus strike which limited options for any travellers without a car. nothing really friendly, accommodating can't complain. Just someone walking around the 1st floor and been very chatty with his girlfriend at 2-3am outside my door but, it is a hotel and people will be coming back from a night out, lol. Nothing!. The rooms were very basic and extremely hot. Had to leave room with window open and heat off for two hrs before we could go in. It was a very warm night. no need for heat. The kettle was on a shelf but did not fit the socket it was beside. It looked as if furniture had been moved and the wall had not been repainted also the carpet was showing signs of wear. mostly what i did not like was that it seemed that every thing you ate had to be fried with chips. My only complaint and I don't even want to cal it that is the room was very very warm. Needed a tray for the cups (plastic would do) to stop staining the unit tops. We used tissues, but there were a few older stains on the top. Shower door missing, replaced by shower curtain which caused water to leak onto floor. The plumbing in the apartment was quite noisy. I also had to ask for the password for the free wifi and it didn't seem to work - not convinced I was given the correct code!. showers a joke stand out in the rain with shampo would do u better. That I couldn't stay for longer. Couldn't turn off heat in bedroom as I like a cool room to sleep in. The lock was a little confusing, but not really a problem. The commode had an issue flushing properly. We thought there was a leak initially, but it was just extremely slow in refilling. When we stayed it was very hot and no air conditioning but over all very happy. No dislikes. Nothing. i had small baby in buggy and i know there was a lift but would have prefered a ground floor room. and i was told had own private entrance to room when booked. Couldn't moan as price so reasonable but perhaps couple more tea bags for family room :-). Curtains iffy. Toilet in bathroom,, the seat was broken, the outside noise was quite loud and the wifi was only available in reception. Room smelt strongly of tobacco but I did not request non-smoking and do not know if they exist. no tea or coffe in the apartments. Limited facilities but this is reflected in the great price. Small tv. water pressure not good for shower, sink or toilet. ended up not bothering to shower. water tastes terrible. all mirrors low due to it being a disabled room, but there wasn't a higher mirror provided. everything was perfect:). Nothing.
