  Very friendly, inviting owners who made us feel welcome. Sometimes one can feel like one is imposing on the owners of a b and b, but not in this case. Rooms are very private from the owners quarters, almost a hotel setting in that sense but much more convenient access and far better pricing and atmosphere. A fine breakfast was served, though we didn't have time to take advantage of the full Irish breakfast that was offered. While t - We liked everything , john and maisie are the nicest , kindest , most hospitable couple we I've met on all my traveling in Ireland .The house is beautiful , the gardens are beautiful , it's easy to think your visiting family their that lovely, breakfast was gorgeous too , tv and wifi 10/10 too, very happy thankyou john and maisie .   The fact that Theresa contacted me via email to thank me for the booking and provide me with directions to the B&B. They were much better than the ones on google maps and were very clear and consise. We had no trouble finding it. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived. When we were shown to our room we were asked if we would like a cup of tea... what people say » or coffee. We replied that we could make it in our room and Theresa went and got us a plate of biscuits and a jug of fresh milk. The breakfast was fa - Absolutely beautiful B&B and Teresa & Michael make you feel like your part of the family as soon as you arrive. Very comfortable B&B and very relaxing. Gardens are outstanding which were an added bonus as my partner is a gardening fanatic. Michael happily showed off his garden and gave us lots of tips (new microwave will be purchased Michael!! :) )Teresa you make the most outstanding breakfast it kept us going till early evening.   The lady who owned this B&B was extremely welcoming and friendly from the moment you walk through the door. Fabulous Irish breakfast every morning. Rooms were spacious and clean, bathroom was also spotless! The hotel is very close to the town centre and makes shopping/restaurants and bars very accessible!   Orla & killian were extremely friendly and hospitable. Orla organised a taxi for us and knowing we were going to be late getting to bed, had no problem giving us a later start on breakfast. Room was very comfortable, warm clean. Would definitely stay there again. - Stayed here over a weekend and found Greengates an excellent place to stay.   Warm welcome. I asked about breakfast and because I had an early start the next day the lady said she with the next 40 mins bring up to the room a tray of cereal, fruit, juice and cheese sandwich so that I could have some breakfast. There was a fridge in the room so the jug of milk and one of juice and the sandwich was kept fresh until the morning... what people say » . Returning that day I found that the lay had already thought ahead and placed again a tray of similar food including a yoghurt for breakfast. It was - Rooms very spacious. ceiling fan for the long hot Irish nights :) The breakfast was very nice the next morning and at a time of your choosing, up to 10.00am.

No menus re: what items available for breakfast ... so not sure what to " request " for breakfast when we were asked. Could have had more fruit available. ... what people say » A lovely place to stay! - The welcome on arrival was excellent with help upstairs with our bags & a cup of tea. We stayed 4 days. Cheery welcome each morning and a very nice Irish breakfast. Neil & Theresa helped us make contact with our relatives in Carrickmacross. Most helpful and much appreciated.

  We were ataying in the hotel for a friend s wedding & actually thought it was one of the nicest places I've stayed in. I really worry about places I stay in noting being clean enough but it wasa spotless. Staff were really attentive, approachable, helpful & friendly. Food both the 5corse meal at the wedding & breakfast next morning was... what people say » delicious. I will be back to stay again & definitely use the hott tub & leisure facilities. - We enjoyed our stay, very relaxing. We stayed for 2 nights, the first night we ate in the restaurant, the food was delicious and the 2nd night we had bar food and that was just as good. The staff were all really lovely.
