The junior suite had a wow factor to it, great opulent venitian style and theatral bed. The glamourous asian bar with giant lamps and high ceiling reminded of hype Manhattan. Great restaurant advice from very friendly staff. There was a slight mix up with my booking but the staff handled it so professional and without any problem. They were extremely courteous and helpful. The room was to die for and the location was superb.

The style of the hotel was to die for and the location couldn't have been better, just a 5 minute walk to the main shopping street and not even a minute away from trinity college. Staff are excellent. Very nice place. Room was lovely. Was half an hour early for breakfast and they accommodated me. Super friendly waiting staff!. Julien, the porter was exceptionally friendly and accomodating and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The ac did not work very good, the comforter on the bed was in poor shape, there were no available electrical outlets to charge phone, computer, etc. so I had to unplug a light or the alarm clock. One cushion on the bed was very dirty. Some areas in the room need painting. A lot of noise from the neighbouring room. Awkward socket for the hairdryer, tea making etc...couldn't reach them!. While location is excellent the numerous steps and going through the bar is not ideal especially if people have more than 1 bag. Bedrooms could do with blackout blinds especially when it's bright at 6am. The lift route to the room is quite a trek!. Nothing. Not really suitable, if you are with a young child. A little bit expensive. my room was situated above the nightclub downstairs, the noise travels!. it's thin walls, so you can hear other people in their rooms. Water shortages caused showering problems but at no fault of the hotel. The only observation that was initially negative would be the stair area that leads to reception. Looked a little unkept , but this is probably just due to your current building work. Nothing. Nothing. poor lighting in bathroom. Going through bar to get to rooms. Quite expensive. Can hear people in the next room very clearly. Grubbiness in hotel corridors Grubbiness of carpet & seating in bedroom Bath panel was swollen by effects of water over a long period of time. Very unhygienic and unnecessary Poor selection of breakfast cereals and fruits. Poor access for physically challenged guests even taking into consideration the listed status of the building. No lift to suites, so had to walk up three flights each time. No radiators in room, only heat was from the air conditioning unit and there was therefore no heat in the albeit lovely bathroom. Furnishings were grubby and stained. Seems to be in middle of refurbishment, some rooms lovely others tired and in need of painting etc. long way to walk to the room especially in the evenings when one had to squeeze oneself through the crowd on the way to the room. Room was not completed as per picture and building works going on which was not advised at time of booking. Difficult to get to the room and lack of plug sockets. access to our room having to go through the bar could do with refurbishing thought room was expensive. A little bit grubby..could do with a revamp. Quality of the rooms and interior generally WiFi did not reach to the room Expensive breakfast. The room is not to the standard expected for a hotel of this price. While the bathroom was nice the bath was chipped, furniture is not of great quality and our room was quite rickety. It felt like the hotel was under renovation as the reception was upstairs with an mdf finish! There were also plants that you had to duck under to get down the corridor. While bars are close, cocktails and food in Samsara are poor. The hotel is in need of updating, there was paint peeling off the walls and there was a general feeling of abandonment. The bed was made by putting 2 single beds together there were no extra pillows or blankets. Considering the price and advertisement of the hotel it was very low quality for a very high price. Breakfast was terriably, dinning room was closed so breakfast was served in dirty bar, poor selection and rude staff. Very out dated and tired appearence. The room and hotel is old and tired. Bathroom was not clean and towel rails, toilet roll holder were broken. Tile grout had a lot of mould. Part of Small Luxury Hotels, unfortunately very far from it in reality !!! Room dirty and unpleasant staff.
