Everything, from the location, to the friendly staff, to the beautiful rooms. The location of this hotel is excellent, few minutes walk from O' Connell Bridge.Right beside LUAS. Arrived on Friday for a gig in the O2 arena, carvery available if we wished before and after the gig-great idea.Staff were very helpful. room was very clean. the prices for food and drink at Jurys is much more reasonable and cheaper than outside the hotel,( that is in Dublin). The room I had was of a 3-star standard and was extremely spacious and had two double beds. There was what looked to be a decent restaurant/bar on the ground floor, although I didn't actually try it out. the hotel has a good position. Clean, large, comfortable room, in-room internet access. Proximity to public transport (DART, LUAS). Food and other amenities. Easy access to the city. central location. The bar staff were very friendly. Not at all, I only wish it had a shuttle service to and from the airport. Rooms near the lift can be a bit noisy (especially ringer each time the lift is called to the floor). nothing really. As I am a light sleeper did not like that the room was to the front of the hotel due to the traffice noise. my companion thought the room was noisy (traffic) it was perfect for me. Not affilliated to any useful rewards programme. - No ironing facilities in the room. parking. walls of the corridors on the 3rd floor were covered in dust, someone had spilled something in the elevator we used when we got back , which was left dripping down the walls and floor for quite a while it would seem. No we had a great stay. Lighting could have been better in the rooms - it was very poor. There was alot of loud people in the coridoors late at night and also inthe morning.The rooms facing the road experience heavy taffic on weekdays and from 5am can here loud traffic , rooms too hot also. I think paying 10 euro for a continental breakfast is way over the top. That's expensive cereal. I know your profitability on these items is way ahead in realtive terms to your room rates, and yes, you no doubt have higher running costs but it is a turn off. It would be subliminally better to pay an extra 10 euro for the room and have breakfast included.......The price was extremely expensive in comparison to other hotels not far from there with practically the same facilities, and it didn't include brekfast! I felt I overpaid. In fact, I just chose it because it was the only one available in your site during my stay there. Bathroom was pretty ordinary. No amenities like a gym or free computers.rooms very basic - the reception and bar areas are very nice but rooms need revamp they did not have my reservation when i arrived. Poor lighting in bathroom, doorknob falling off.This is a 3-star hotel and you get what you pay for. It is in an area where there are very few bars/restaurants and is a 15 min stroll to the city centre. The only other thing I didn't like was the surly security guard, who looked like he might turn milk sour. the room was too cold and the check in too slow. in-room minibar with some water. it's basic. the vending machine at the main hall of the floor never had change, I had to go down to the bar. Food was mediocre. Noisy rooms. Confusion over credit card booking and why that was not acceptable forpayment. I had to produce mine, when it was my husband that booked thetwo nights as a treat, with his card on line. No room service - you had to carry your meal from the bar to the room. No iron in the room, had to go to another floor to find iron was not there.Room was cold as radiator did not appear to be working despite my best efforts. I have stayed in alot of hotels and am generally not fussy but Jurys Custom Quay could definately do with improvement. The meal in restaurant had to be sent back as was not edible, the front desk staff could just about understand English. we asked for water the night of our stay and were not accomodated, to get water we had to call the duty manager which for 145 euro per night was unacceptable. the entrance looks great but the rooms are old.no ventilation or airconditioning.only small window but seen as the hotel is on a very busy road no sense opening the window.
