The location was excellent being in walking distance of town.Breakfast didn,t finish til 10.30 and staff were helpful and friendly. Lovely comfortable rooms - friendly, helpful staff. Facilities were great and close to the town.We had the most wonderful time and would love to return during the next school holidays. Friendly staff,great food and service.The Room was huge and very good value.
all reviews » Leisure Centre. We were only on a short stay, but were very impressed with the hotel.It was very comfortable. We made use of the residents bar,and there was no hassle with doing so,as in other hotels I have stayed in.I would definetely stay here again. How clever the ideas to make it child friendly. Games room, renting of children's dvds. Efficient check-in and check-out. Large reception area. Nice staff. Clean bathroom. Near town centre.all of the amenities. it was a nice location ....the leisure centre was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful....the dinner we had in lanigans was excellent and the staff were very friendly and courteous...reccomended..there wasnt much about the tv could do wth better choice. Staff were welcoming, price was right, room/hotel was clean and well maintained, dining room was lovely with a wonderful breakfast selection. As a result of the above, this has been my third stay at the hotel and I will certainly return again. it was easy walking distance to town.hotel was very clean friendly and spacious would stay there again.nice to have free papers in reception. The entire weekend was a great success helped by the fact that the hotel was located in a good spot for night life without having to drive, the staff were always very helpful, the breakfast was was good and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Chilren were climbing up on the roof of the rides.Tiling in bathroom could be repaired. the entrance doors to the hotel need to be relplaced with automatic as it is difficult to get in with suitcases....the function basic was very basic with poor bar facilities didnt read any reviews b4 i arrived ... there are no complaints in this observation. Hotel could do with a coat of paint and bettter internet access in all the rooms. The room was a bit dark when the curtains were drawn at night if you wanted to read, a brighter light somewhere in the room would have been useful had we been staying for a longer period.We telephoned a few days before we arrived and they confirmed that wewould get a room on the ground floor with view of the playground. Theroom we got was on third floor with no view of playground. no Internet access in the room. No food available after 9.30pm. We booked treatments and they had to be cancelled. Yes, when we checked out we were looking for something to eat, so we went to the resturant as suggested. Tried to order a sandwich at 12pm and was told we could not get any food until 12.30pm. We ordered some drinks and waited the 30mins. At 12.30 we tried again to order a sandwich and was told there is only carvery. We then were told we could order it at the bar, but only at 2.30pm.Rediculious!!!. about cleanliness : bed was cleaned every days but carpet not clean when we arrived(lots of dust). We found some stuff like old apple, biscuits and feeding bottle underneath bed.We only needed a double room with space for a travel cot but were in a family room. If the hotel had taken away the fold-up single bed then this would have given us space for our travel cot and baby things. If we had been a family with 2 young children the room would have been far too small to fit everyone in as there was no floor space, the room was only big enough for 1 double and 1 single. far too expensive for room only considering its not a 4 or 5 star hotel. We were overcharged, but the hotel thankfully rang to confirm they would refund the monies. the room next door was too noisy. the walls must be very thin. Lunch at the hotel is terrible. Lunch time staff look bored, exhausted just did not want to be there except the guy on the till. The standard of food was very poor. I was concerned about getting food poisoning. I thought the hotel was excellent up until then!. Hotel excellent for families with young children but a nightmare forseasoned travellers.
