  Sad to have stayed only the one night at the Parkhouse. The O'Briens were fabulous hosts and very welcoming. The room was a good size, with everything you'd need for a short stay, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, with a good variety of dishes, all beautifully cooked and presented (I loved the french toast with bacon a... what people say » nd syrup, and my partner enjoyed a marvelous full Irish). The b&b is a mere minute's drive from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park (or about 10 minutes - Sean and Sinead were very gracious hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The room was lovely and clean with everything you need at your fingertips. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious. The location was perfect for us as we could travel in a variety of directions, keeping the Park House as our base. Sean was a terrific tour guide giving us local insight into the places to visit and where to eat. We were made feel very welcome and we highly recom

  This was a wonderful B&B in a perfect location for Bunratty Castle. The reception was warm and friendly and everyone we met from this family was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and if the weather had been nicer the outside area would have been nice as well. My little boy loved the horses right next door. I have to apologize that I didn't notice that my little boy put a travel alarm clock in our di - Friendly and accomodating staff. Extremely comfortable beds, linens and towels. We had to rise quite early the next morning to catch a flight which meant we'd miss breakfast, which was included in the reasonalbe price. Phil(omena) arranged for coffee and scones to be available for us. This B&B is within walking distance of Bunratty castle and folk park.

  The hostess was so friendly! She made tea for us when we got there in the afternoon. Then, she drove us to Bunratty castle (so we could just take a cab back if we drank that night). In the morning, my husband woke up with a sore throat, and she gave him some medicine. Also, we left something behind in the room, and she called us to let us know!   Our first, but not last, trip to Ireland began with a warm welcome from Mel and Denis in Bunratty, just minutes from the Shannon Airport. Mel was most accommodating and gracious. Her home is immaculate and her breakfasts delicious. When our multi-hour delayed flight from jfk imposed an unexpected delay in our arrival, she was genuinely concerned, ... what people say » as she had generously agreed to open her home to us early in the morning. She goes out of her way to assist you, making reservations for dinner or off - This b&b is closer to the Shannon airport than most carparks are in major cities. The location couldn't be better! Mel is the perfect hostess, when I arrived she cranked the electric blanket on the bed (which was SO comfortable!), pulled the blinds and allowed me to sleep the entire afternoon of my arrival so I could avoid jetlag.
