I was travelling solo in Bali and stumbled to this b&b in the internet. The location can be a problem if you’re not familiar with the neighborhood. It is tucked in this small alley behing some shops, just few steps from the main street of Arjuna. The amazing thing was, once I entered the gate I felt like I was in a quiet oasis. You couldn’t almost realize that you’re just few steps away from the busy street out there. Array choices of restaurants, shops and clubs are just steps away. The ne.
all reviews » We are frequent travellers to Bali and we stayed at Umadasa due to all the positive reviews the hotel had. We had a late arrival at 2 am, however the staff welcoming us with a big smile. They were so friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast varied everyday and was served fresh. Hotel was really quiet considering that it was just steps away from a main road. Beach was less than 5 minutes away walking and there were lots of places to eat or drink around. I could write more about our pleasant . Room was clean and tidy though the ensuite was quite small and could be difficult for someone with a minor disability. The girls were absolutely fabulous and couldn't have been more helpful. My wife especially loved the shallow ledge in the plunge pool. Nice and quiet, and with breakfast included in the price definitely value for money. We'd stay there again without doubt and have even thought of getting a group together to book out the entire villa. Everything. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly face. The staff are warm and welcoming, the included breakfast was delicious and changed every morning. The location is great only a couple minutes walk to Seminyak beach and to all the restaurants, cafés and shops. Though you were in the center of it all it didn't feel like it. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. The staff was excellent! Especially the lead girl. We didn't arrive until close to 1am and she greeted us and checked us in and let us pay the next day. The hotel is very small (only 4 rooms and 1suite) so very personal. Good way to socialize with other guests too. Shops, restaurants, and the beach are all at your doorstep but you are hidden away enough to not be bothered by anything. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Chezzy is very approachable and answered all our questions regarding planning an itinerary. The location is also ideal as it's a short walk from the beach while providing a quiet atmosphere to escape the noise and traffic of the main roads. The breakfast was basic, but good with fresh coffee, and made to order eggs. Fantastic staff! They really help you with everything! Different fresh made breakfast every day. The hotel is just about 2 minutes away from the beach, very quiet though. The rooms are very pretty and the air condition has a remote control to regulate it and looks very new. We very much liked the décor, ambience and personal touch at Umadasa. The staff (particularly the lovely Tari and Chezzy) went to great lengths to make us welcome and comfortable, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Seminyak. It is great if you are a flashpacker wanting to meet like-minded travellers but otherwise if you're with a partner, you might want to go somewhere that offers more privacy. the room looks on pic bigger than it it. with 2 persons and luggage its very smal. bad if family with children are there its sometimes noisy. Water sometimes cold. family room toilet smells funky, no way of contacting staff during emergency, floor is a bit dusty. I would have liked access to tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast It was a bit too noisy. Bathroom a bit smelly. Breakfast wasn't that great but free. very small hotel it was more like villa. You dont feel much comfortable with the atmosohere of hotel. I dont recommend it to others.
