Most impressive arrival reception ever experienced & was received from Chief Concierge. Asked & was given immediate upgrade to Club Santrian Room (Very impressive). All Hotel staff including gardeners & pool attendants were so friendly & happy & made us feel so welcome. The Hotel buildings, gardens & layout had a complete Balinese feel, which we were looking for rather than a modern commercial hotel. The location was superb, having the street & beachfront restuaran.
all reviews » We loved our stay at the Puri Santrian! The satff is fanatsitic, the tropical garden splendid, food great, prices very reasonable! The hotel is clean, even the beach gets cleaned up each day! Great pool areas (3) and beach side with very comfortable sun beds. Restaurant and Spa fantastic! The surringing..., Well, it is a touritic area... But we still felt ok. Jimbaran was way worse... We joined the Balinesian cooking class which is awesome! You should also book a tour to a near island called Le. It was a pleasant surprise when we were upgraded to the new room, the premium deluxe room. The room will be superb not only to couple but also to young family with little children, since it was spacious and equipped with sofa bed on top of the very comfortable king size bed. The spa was excellent and the customer service was unbelievable good. We love the beach so much and it was not crowded since Puri Santrian is a medium size hotel with five star environment. Lots of smiley faces in Puri Sant. We only stayed here one night because our plane to Lombok was cancelled and we now wthink we will go back there soon as it looked like a great place to spend a week. Highlights include: - we sat in the bar and a band played requests at our table - the pool outside our villa was superb and built in such a way there are plenty of private nooks in which to sit or swim - we got upgraded and the room was lovely - the beach was great for our early morning swim - breakfast was excellent. Location was excellent, staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Nothing negative to say. Maybe only that the fogging they do every couple of days for Mosquitos seemed a bit excessive and would recommend you go to your room or for a walk during this time. The cake they gave us for our birthday was a nice touch. Would recommend the upgrade to the club room if you can afford it as some nice extra touches. Highly recommend this resort. The beach side settings with plenty of large comfortasble day beds to enjoy the beautiful seaview. The club was great ,with my wife loving the afternoon tea and then being able to relax at the club only pool away from the crowds. If you are a snorkellor instead of a surfer this is the bali Beach for you. Great long walks along the front,private Beach so you are not hassled.Overall a top quality all inclusive resort . With it's location right on the beach and a nice pool area, the Puri Santrian was a very nice experience. Friendly and forth coming staff and a place to let your shoulders down. Clean spacious rooms and set in a beautiful garden area. For dinner, walk out of the hotel area and visit Mezzanine (connected to the hotel). Maybe the best spare ribs on Bali, only surpassed by Naughty Nuris (in Legian). The friendliness of each and every staff member of the resort was exemplary. And it was genuine. All staff happily engaged in conversations and were interested in you personally.I truly admired and enjoyed the resort's Balinese architecture, including the lovely traditional musicians during breakfast. I highly recommend Puri Santrian as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of Kuta / Legian. 1) Very nice soft sunbeds on the beach with umbrellas or under trees 2) friendly personnel 3) nice food, including european cuisine 4) nice swimming pool 5) clean beach 6) lots of water sports nearby 7) lots of cheap restaurants and massage-salons on the beach 8) comparatively best 4-stars service level on Sanur beach 9) nice comparatively modern design of pool area and restaurant. Gardens, pools, excellent personal care by guest relations staff. Location and beachside facilities. Accomodation facilities (we were allocated a superior pool suite at level 1 after (a) delay with availability of booked room at level 3, and (b) caring attitude of guest relations staff member who suggested that we should be in level 1 unit due to our age). Very pleasant and attractive outside environment, comfortable rooms (we were upgraded to the club rooms) helpful friendly staff lovely pools and safe seabathing plenty of relaxing loungers of variety of types all over the site. Food and drink whilst not outstanding was very nice. Cncierge very helpful in getting taxis at good prices. The location was excellent - 20 minutes by car from the airport, so we were in our room within an hour of arriving. It's also just walking distance to many shops, cafes and restaurants, including those along Sanur Beach. The staff were all friendly and the three different pools were all excellent. A great spot to wind down. great peacefull place, not so many tourists around - mean group trips from travel ag, clean beach, stunning pools, spa, extremely clean hotel area, they clean beach, roads, garden, pools nonstop...excellent food, breakfast, lunch on the beach , good prices, restaurant Mezzanine excellent - try sushi & lobster!. Buffet breakfast is fantastic, lots of variety and very fresh! I was upgraded from a Garden Wing to a Beach Wing suite, overlooking the pool - very central and a beautiful room. I was not harassed by salespeople on the beach as it's a private beach from the hotel. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The staff is adorable, the hotel park is amazingly green and authentic balinese (which unfortunately isn't the case of many big hotel chains) ! The beach is great (calmer and more private than in Nusa Dua) and Sanur is lively and animated ! Many shopping and food-opportunities. The Staff were fantastic, couldn't be more helpful, especially Eko and Sonia who were so caring. The location was amazing, the pools were fab, the tropical gardens brilliant. Lots to do and see, good excursions and shopping, a truly unique cultural experience. LOVED IT!. The hotel is well-run with lovely staff. The gardens are beautiful,as is the location of the restaurant. We have been 3 times. We have happy memories there going back 13 years. In our view it is the nicest hotel in Sanur. Just the right size, not impersonal. The staffs are nice and friendly, explaining details to guests when check in. The environment is natural and clean. Beach is beautiful, but not the orientation to see the sunrise/sunset. The room is wooden designed, unique and comfortable. The beach, coffie, food, cooking class, the pools, gardens, loved the staff, every thing is kept swept and tidy. No kids really, service in the restaurants, care , bedding clean. Very relaxed atmosphere and staff just wonderful. Staff were unvelievable, had a fantastic romantic dinner on beach served by the fantastic young Ari from East Bali. Although our booking was double booked we werw very much looked after the next night with complimentary wine. The board walk provides an easy walk along the beach to the busier areas of Sanur. the friendly welcoming atmosphere where the staff are always willing to answer your questions and attend to your needs. I love everything about Puri Santrian, I've visited twice already (2012 and 2013), it's the only hotel I would use when staying in Sanur :). The beeakfast is good but very light... Have seen a lot of bigger and more diversed breakfasts than this one in hotels in Bali. Being very picky but the accommodation was a bit dark and needed updating (shower over bath with curtain) but very clean and generally comfortable. Nothing. We always enjoy the place. Wifi connection is no good. Shower booth is narrow. The rooms are old, cupboards and drawers smell musty, our room stank of glue so overpowering it gave me asthma. We were moved. Swimming towels stained. Requests not followed up. Taxi vouchers not given and driver wanted another $$$$$ I had to prove that I had paid it to front desk. The amount of money charged for food, drinks and tours within hotel. Music by the beach bar was inconsistent. Sometimes loud sometimes none, changinggenres of music. Maybe ye could woek out a timetable for what music te are going to play at what time and at what volume. The cocktails at the bar were a bit inconsistent and perhaps needed more experienced bar staff when we were there. nothing. While our room was beautiful and everything was in great condition, the bed and the pillows were a bit to firm for us. I find they usually are in Bali hotels and I usually take a pillow from home, but I forgot to take it this time. I would like some no smoking areas.thWe got smoked off our deck, we had people smoke in front of our chairs at the beach, while dining out side we were exposed to smoke and around the pools. Tropical fruits at breakfast were not up to standard very tasteless not like other places we stayed in bali. Pool chairs booked by guests hanging towels etc on chairs for extended periods of time without policing of policy for leave unattended to 30 minutes only Some rooms are significantly better than others within the same price banding. I didnt like the price, i know you can spend more in Bali but i thought next time ill stay somewhere cheaper. As long as it has a pool and good beach access im happy. The food and spa at the resort cost four times as much as places close by in the street. Airline traffic over the hotel. The orchids were not flowering when I was there this year !. The staff in the restaurant is very slow and some of them seemed to be bored whereas others were imitated friendly. when i had to leave and check in to a different hotel. Big mistake ! Puri santrian rocks !. bacon & eggs alacarte but served cold, crispy duck - actually burnt to crisp. Poor club benefits. There wasn't anything. The stool at the bottom of the bed which was easy to walk into during the night after a toilet visit. Also we were troubled by noisy toilets most of the night. Club Room showers dated - could do with upgrade. Not enough sun beds - people still putting towels on and booking/leaving all day. Nothing to complain about. Air conditioner not working kept getting to hot even after it was fixed Mattress and pillows to hard!. The bathroom was a little dated and the bed was hard!. Its expensive - even compared to the Griya Santrian. The drinks were ridiculously expensive in comparison. The spa was also outrageously expensive. it would be worth considering setting up a small gym. Wasn't that I didn't like but we saw recliner lounges at the front of some other villas and thought they would be great at the front of the Santrian Club rooms. Their wifi needs work but I already told them that and they are working on it. Shower didn't really have much pressure. Apart from that the room was great. The pool hours were from 8am to 8pm, unfortunately the pool attendants started cleaning up the are at 6pm. The hours should be extended either end. Also this must be the only hotel that does not sell Bintang, Indonesia's national brew.Bali Hai beer is dreadful and Corna is like p**S.
