The Balinese bungalows are beautiful and immaculately maintained as are the beautifully manicured gardens. Most of the staff speak very good English. The 2 pools are very clean and relaxing and the pool bar is great. 5 mins walk to Kuta beach and shopping right at your door. Poppies lane 1 can be very busy at night but you can't hear a thing from the bungalows down the back. I would highly recommend this place to most people. It's not a party place if that's what your after. It's a very quiet,.

Thoroughly enjoyed the spa. I personally did not care for Kuta but, if that is your type of environment, Kuta Puri is good value for money and quite central. If you want to be in the middel of downtown Kuta then this is the location. Once you walk into the grounds you have peace and quiet away from the mayhem that defines Kuta. The rooms are large and have everything you need. The massage I had at the spa was great. Breakfast is good. I loved the place, recepcion is very profesional and speaks very good english. Breakfast is amazing, and it really worth it. Spa service was also good, i tried this hotel twice and both time i hade massage ans treatments very good, clean and relaxing. Staff excellent. we where there last November and when we arrive back on the 9th of April 13 it was like coming home again, the staff was so great and made you feel at home, the grounds are beautifully kept, the restaurant has very good food. we would go back again for sure. I love Bali with a passion, but Kuta is hell on earth. no 24 hr wi fi. only 3 hours of wifi provided for each room. Not enough!. the mucking about with the pool towels, not really that bad but can be annoying. Breakfast was quite basic - bread options, for example, could be better, and it would be nice to have local food as an option. Mosquitoes are a major problem in the open air bathroom. No jaffles on menu. Rooms aren't very noise protective, you can hear ppl coming home if they're loud. Internet access was inconvenient. Had to get a new wi-fi password each day. Bathrooms needed a bit of upgrading. Was difficult to book directly. When we arrived they didn't have the room we'd booked (standard double), staff were a bit hostile saying we should have checked our emails even though we were travelling with young kids and pregnant. Ended up having to pay for upgrade, but all this took time when kids just really needed to get to bed after long trip. Then had to wait for crib to be assembled even though we'd requested prior to our arrival. An unfortunate start to our holiday but things did improve the following day. The pool bar cocktail mixer was not clean. Lack of good quality red wines. Nothing. No laundry basket. Choices of breakfast is too little. The door lock is a lil bit old skool. Rooms are rather dated (particularly the bathroom) - however they were very clean. Renovations at the time are noisy. The pools need a little more shade around them, otherwise a lovely place to stay!. did see a rat whilst I was having breakfast crawl out of the gardens by kitchen. Mosquitos Ability to close doors without locking. Rats in the grounds, in the rooms and in the restaurant - problem was not being managed Too many mosquitoes bites especially when in a bathroom with only 3 walls Bungalow door when padlocked was secure from people but not from the rats as there is a small gap. definitely needs some renovation (bathroom). Nothing. RATS are a problem in the gardens and a few big cats would solve it. smell of pool towel when wet. They overcharged us for transportation up to Ubud in hindsight ($45/450,000 rupiah). The rooms look and feel a bit dated. the price point for the value in terms of amenities (ie, limited free wifi, size / quality of rooms, etc.) seemed a little high. Standard rooms a bit wear and tear. During check-in rat ran through outdoor lobby. Room was too old for the money charged. Staff were unfriendly last time we stayed 2.5 years ago and still the same staff and same attitude. Very disappointing. Breakfast was too much westernised. No enough local food served. Room needs to be updated urgently. We booked for 12 nights but stayed only 2 nights as we found far better value hotel with cheaper price. Noise at night from the club next spoiled our sleep. No gym, no in house laundry facility, no iron box and board. Services. Problem booking with reception and home unpleasant.
