Staff very professional and personable. Matter of fact they were saavy and gracious;I have not been treated so well at an establishment in a very long time. The hotel is connected to a very efficient mall and is around the corner from the metro, shopping districts within walking distance, plenty of places to eat near by. The hotel is beautiful,clean, beds soft, spa excellent,gym great! etc!.
all reviews » I liked the Royal Plaza Hotel because the staff was quick and very efficient. Checking in and out was very easy. The room's interior was well-decorated with a big nice window but there is no view of the harbor though. There is also a mall beside the hotel so it is very convenient to buy what you need.The hotel upgraded us for free. The room was great and the staff was friendly. The buffet was open until 12am, which was great considering how late we were out sightseeing. There was nothing we didn't like!! It was a fantastic hotel with superb facilities and we would recommend to anyone and would stay again.I love the brightness and cleaness of this hotel. It's worth the money to stay. The staffs were very nice and polite. Very convenient for shopping, good gym facilities, staff very polite and efficient. Lots of facilities with that price level. Clean and comfortable room. We put up the do not disturb light but not the sign, the next time we used the sign as well and it was fine. So I think that was our fault.The only thing I don't really like about this hotel was the main entrance. The main entrance was behind the shopping mall. Internet could be a bit cheaper and it would be good to have wireless access in rooms. Difficult to reach from Prince Edward MTR station. i guess the only negativity was there was no cutlery if you bought fruit to eat. you needed to buy some cutlery to eat the fruit. Nothing negative about this hotel. Internet charge is too expensive. There were no toliets on the ground level, you had to go all the way to floor eight. The hotel is located in a very popular area which is very crowded, and not in the more luxurious areas next to the water line, but it was easy to reach all places with taxi and the MTR public transportation system.Location is not optimal. This is the busiest and crowdest area of HK. Not all the staff speaked good english. In some rooms smoking is allowed and the smell can reach other rooms!. Despite the request of an early check-in, the room got available abitlate (compared to our request, yet still within the regular time ofnormal check-in).there is no places for smokers, only outside. I got lost on my way there because I thought the location map and the descriptions of the hotel's location stated that the Hotel is located on top of the Mong Kok MTR station; however, as it turned out, they were on top of the Mong Kok EAST MTR station. It wasn't far from Mong Kok station, but I was a bit disoriented when I got out of the MTR Station in Mong Kok. Everything was an optional extra. For instance I asked for the Herald Tribune instead of the South China Morning Post, and was asked to pay for it; I borrowed an umbrella and had to wait for them to fill out a form and then sign my acceptance of $100 fee if I didn't return it. Also, breakfast is ridiculously expensive. found it to be too far from nathan road (not five minutes) and generally out of the main drag.yes if only the shuttle service to tsim sha chui was applicable for luggages as well. A bit far from metro (need 15 minutes walk). we could not use jakuzzi. the pool always seemed to be closed. Breakfast not included. We arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock midnight and had to carry our luggage to our room by ourselves which was a bit difficult as we had two heavy suitcases as well as three other smaller bags.Very ling chek-in - 45 minutes. Checkin and Checkout service. Wish there could be more variety of room choice (eg for family of 4 who do not wish to stay separately). Nothing except the lobby is a bit crowd.internet connection too expensive. bad location of bar, too busy, too much traffic of shopping mall, can be compared to a train station at rush hours. The phone handling price is so high at hkd30 per call even though I amusing a toll free calling card. some of the guests (without being offensive, mostly mainland Chinese groups) are rather noisy in hotel lobby, corridor and lifts.Drinks and meals were overpriced. The hotel was not really 5 star quality, more 4 star.
