Lovely room with beautiful views. Very helpful friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. We were met at the airport and then taken to the port to catch our ferry to Crete. A really great place to stay. Nearly everything was very well. The apartment with the east view to the sea was unexpectedly even better, because its veranda offered more privacy. The food was excellent!.

As a small disadvantage I would mention that it is not so easy to reach Imerovigli village from the hotel - at day time there is no shadow at all on the way to it, and at night it is completely dark, with no lights at all. The same applies to getting to Fira from the hotel or coming back. The distance from Fira to Imerovigli is OK, but the part from Imerovigli to the hotel is difficult.Our "volcano view" room was obstructed by a retaining wall-you could seethe volcano if you stood up. I expected to be able to see the water andthe volcano from the room with the windows open or from the patio. Also,the room was always damp and they had this horrible small shower with afabric shower curtain that leaked water all over. a bit far away from town centre (not within walking distance), no public transport reached, apart from taxi. Air conditioning worked but did not cool well. Temperature outside was 80's.If temperature hot -- may be a problem. Too expensive. Difficult access from the town or the airport. (We used bus to the town, but the buses will not come in time and it's really crowded.) The towels did not seem to be clean.Room with "Sea view" should be cheaper, the view has no interest. Hotelis a bit isolated. view from the room (Volcano side) is not that good; the curtains doesn't close completely the windows, so be prepared to wake up really early... you have to set a time for the breakfast, but it was sometimes very late.
