This hotel for me was very comfortable. I had booked single room then requested a single superior. The single rooms are on the street side which could get quite noisy not a problem if you want to use the air-con. I like an open window the other room was more than perfect for me.The breakfast was great and the staff wonderful especially the young man there. The own such a nice man. all reviews » loved this hotel! We had a one bedroom apartment which was very spacious, clean and well equipped. Don't be deceived by the surroundings when you walk down the street to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent with great choice and very fresh. Location walking distance from Hauptbahnhof and therefore easy to get any where in Munich via the U bahn and S bahn. The hotel was conveniently located next to the Bahn Train Station. The room had a frig, stove, and tea kettle plus there was a washer and dryer. The best part was the breakfast and the owner was there every morning to greet you. The Schiller 5 staff make you feel like you are not just a guest but part of their family. Location is superb, just a few minutes walk from the main station and Karlsplaz. Although ppl did mentioned that the hotel is located in the shady area, but actually I think it is very safe. The room is spacious, with a well equipped kitchenette. The breakfast buffet is also great. Highly recommended to others. General comfort, ability to make own breakfast, coffee etc or go to dining area. Nice touches like water, juice in fridge restocked daily. Comfortable temperature in room meant no messing with heating controls, shower simple to operate and nice fresh towels daily. The location was perfect, super close to the train station and supermarket. They provided room cleaning service and a bottle of beer, Coke, juice, sparkling water, and water in the refrigerator every day! Breakfast was also very good, all in all, we enjoy the stay!. Hotel is located near a few strip clubs and gambling places. Receptionist not very proffesional, when asked to exchange rooms suggested we choose another hotel. TV with poor choice of channels. The room is too small, laundry room should put English instruction for users. Rest room is too small and the light is damaged the first night we came. The room on the top floor doesn't have a window but only an escape door connected to the stairs downwards. no many facilities. Tiny bathroom, had to ask for new towels, they do not change the linens everyday although they are four stars. Internet disconnects you all the time. Rooms are dated, need to re-do toilet and shower area, hotel surroundings is not good - sex clubs, unfriendly people etc. Unprofessional treatment. Internet breaks down half of the time and when it completely went down they act as it wasn't an issues. Noise and screaming most of the nights since it's among some adult bar "stripes".. Hotel could have a gate to block drunk people who cause the loud noise from being close to the guest windows.
