I loved staying at the hostel! It was very modern and very clean. The staff were so friendly! My room was with 6 other girls and very modern too. Nice bunk beds and with privacy screens. Chargers for cell phones and computers. You don't need adapters if you can charge with a usb cable. Each bed has their own charging station along with light. Really gorgeous rooms. Bathroom and shower are seperate. Very logical for room sharing.
all reviews » Lovely a quiet whilst sleeping - a big surprise considering location - no noise from outside or other people staying in the hostel. Brilliant location - right next to the Hauptbahnhof, two art galleries/museums, lots of places to eat and easy walking distance to attractions such as Rathaus, Jungfernstieg, Alsterwasser usw. Good value for money No banging doors like in so many hostels / budget hotels. The location is fabulous, right by the main train station, and if someone is keen to walk around, the major tourist attractions were accessible on foot. The double bedrooms we had were functional/ minimalistic, clean and neat. It was a good place to spend the night. Clean shower and bathroom (and it was inside the shared 8 people bedroom). Every bed had its own socket to charge cellphones and also a small light. Cool bar downstairs. Really nice. Fantastically accommodating for a group of 29 of us, and were more than reasonable with any requests to tone things down. A great balance maintained. So close to the Hauptbahhof and other amenities; still a considerable stroll to other attractions if one prefered to walk (Jungfernstieg, usw); wifi worked through the whole hotel. Location is great! Staff is friendly and very helpfull. Rooms are clean and spacious. Central railway station is very near and ur way to airport will take not more that 30 min. The bar was well stocked and really encouraged mingling amongst the guests. It is a hostel and whilst the prices for double bedrooms are near to those in a normal hotel, the rooms & floors can be loud at night with partying youngsters. The toilet and shower room are a bit small in 8 mixed bed dorm. too noisy at night since so close to the railway station. The bathroom which located inside the room is super tiny. Not providing good food menu and no dinner open at 5.30pm but open at 9pm, not impressed with this being late at night. Way small bathrooms and only one additional bathroom on the floor; however, the divided toilet and shower were good ideas in the rooms; the little dividers between beds was an attempt to provide privacy, but made the room stuffy. Bathrooms are quite small. Soap and towels are not included. "What is this? A locker for Ants?" was the first thing i thought when I opened my hire locker down stairs. They gouge you for locks and towels, and the staff can be a little aloof and preoccupied with the phone or chatting to help at times. At other times they were helpful though. none. Bathroom in room was extremely small. I dont like the fact that Im not a millionaire. The bed made some noises, and the bathroom in the room was too small. Towels cost extra and the shared showers are very small. No lockers so you have to buy a padlock to secure your stuff. The internet connection was slow and poor signal at some points of the hostel. Nada. there are a lot of heavy "firesafety" doors that close automatically, and if people don't close them slowly, they "bang" loudly...you can feel that lying in bed - but ok for a few nights. Shower and wc are a little too small. No prior information that kitchen would be closed on Sunday 30/6 for stocktake. Perhaps we could have been informed of this at check-in as we were keen to eat at the hostel for budget reasons. Also, some information on how to get around the city, or where to find tourist information office, at check-in would have been appreciated...other hostels offered this service and it makes life much easier. It seems a little expensive for a hostel. The bed felt it was on a slope, and that's it. For people who don´t like any noise: hostel is located in a noisy place!. The there was no kitchen area which was a shame. The lift doesn't go to the top if someone lower down wants to use it, so being on the top floor means you have to walk more than the lazy people on the first floor. in our room there was the smallest shower ever, but otherwise everything was great. the bathroom is really tiny, but for a short time stay is still good!. The stand for soap or toothbrush was very close to hand wash sink in the toilet at room as it make difficult and disturb washing face and tooth. In my mind, it's much better to remove them. Its toilet and shower room are really small. My arms were always crushed with the wall of the shower room while I was taking a shower. Shelves directly above handbasins made it very tricky to clean teeth! I kept finding toothpaste on the floor!. Shower room is indeed very small, but ok for slim people or if you take extra care. so it's right by HBF... slightly far away from the main attractions. but it's not too bad as it's only 15 min walk / a few underground stations away. Food is not allowed in the rooms. Trash in the bins were not taken out each day. Bathroom too small (6 bed private). Toilets and shower were too small. It was totally okay for us for one night but it might be a bit tricky for a longer stay. Quite a lot of people during week-ends, expect to find long lines of visitors for registration on reception desk. Club was too loud. No kitchen. Very small and uncomfortable toilet and shower in the room. Weak Wi-Fi signal on 7th floor. Not enough staff. Waiting for service at breakfast. No towels No gym, even tiny. Have to ask for rooms to be cleaned.
