The staff was wonderful! We arrived at the hotel around 10 am after a long bus ride and we were able to check in early.The room was better than we ever imagined. It was spacious and very clean. We had more than enough towels and sheets for one night..and there was even a hair dryer in the room which we were not expecting. We were more than satisfied and we will recommend the hotel to our friends.

A very cheap hotel, at least for a double room. Rooms must have been just recently renovated: a nice private bathroom and toilet. The fault was corrected immediately after I mentioned about it, so eventually I was happy. floors1and2 are Hostel, halls have guests loud and dirty, floors 3and4 are hotel and nice.it was not easy to find it, its really close to the Hauptbahnhof but very complicated the instructions. there was suppose to be tv in the room but it wasn't i like to fall a sleep watching tv..Check-out already at 10 am. Although the location was central (approx. 1 km from railway station) it was difficult to get there. Noises from other rooms and corridor can be a problem if you get noisy "neighbours". The room view.The reception desk can get quite busy. Bed cover was too light - I felt cold during the night.no telphone in my room and very noissy from the other guest at the alley. breakfast could be a bit more diverse. Not good location. Noise from other guests - had a young clientel. The trafic noise, the slamming doors and the noisy guest during night was absolutly terrible. So was the 1 hour we spent waiting for the rooms to be cleared (from 16.00 to 17.15). door cards that dont work and are annoying, breakfast. noise. the services.

Travelling information

By Car:
- Change at the junction Hamburg-Süd from the A1 motorway to the A255 motorway.
- At the end, drive across the Neue Elbbrücke.
- After about 1 km, turn left in to Amsinckstrasse.
- Keep to the right until Deichtorplatz.
- Circle around Deichtorplatz (U-turn, but do not drive into the tunnel), you will automatically be directed onto Amsinckstrasse. Keep to the right.
- Turn right onto Högerdamm and then directly left into Amsinckstrasse again.
- The A&O Hotel and Hostel are located on the right side.

Parking:
An underground car park is located next to the hostel (chargeable).

By Train:
The hotel is situated approximately 300 metres from Central Station. Leave Central Station at the Steindamm / S-Bahn exit and walk across the rails towards Tourist-Info / S-Bahn and to the right into Kirchenallee. Keep to the right. At the end, cross Steintorplatz / Steintordamm and turn left into Julius-Kobler-Weg (next to the Museum of Kunst und Gewerbe). At the end, turn right into Altmannbrücke and directly left into Münzstrasse. Take the first street on the right (Hühnerposten) and proceed straight on into Schultzweg. At the end, you can the see the A&O Hotel and Hostel across the street. Walk to the left towards the traffic lights and cross the street.

By Plane:
Take the Airport Express Bus from the airport to Central Station. The buses operate every 15 minutes and take about 25 minutes to reach the station. Fares start at EUR 5 per person. From Central Station, follow the description above.
