Hotel is budget-friendly and located in quite area, 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from city center. Hotel has free parking and wifi. Big loby and room area is huge with big luxury toilets and sofa bed. Room window is wide with nice view of the forest. Room facilities include almost everything. I love our stay in Van Der Valk for 8 nights and I'm going to stay in the same hotel when I visit Dussoldorf again.
all reviews » Close to airport, only 10 minutes and about 10-15 euros for a taxi. Spotless clean rooms, comfortable, lovely furnishings, all maintained very well. Wonderful service from attentive capable staff who solve any problem you give them. Fast front desk checking in and check out, couldn't have been better. They make a big effort. Everything is perfect! Extra large room with comfortable bed, sofa, large tv, stunning view, big bathroom with shower and tube... Hotel is close to exhibition grounds. Breakfast is rich. Internet free & works perfectly. Staff very friendly and very well trained. I stayed in this hotel for the second time and defiantly will stay next time, as there is super and modern hotel with excellent facilities and view from the window. The location is not at all picturesque, but if you need an airport hotel I dont think you will find a better one. The food choices were not great, and the hotel has vending machines with junk food in the main lobby, which seem very out of place in this lovely hotel. No complains. Unless you book a specific rate, you are not entitled to free shuttle to the airport. A cab is approximately 12 Euro. Hotel was full of stuck up suits. Definitely a businesspersons' hangout. Room service fees were prohibitively expensive, as was the on- site restaurant. We went elsewhere for dinner. Wi-fi was spotty and we had to log in each time the devices went to sleep. none. Nothing. Location was kind of difficult to get to....but we found it!. It was a bit pricey. The wifi access was really annoying as it constantly reset and required re-logging in. It is normal in hotels of this standard to provide daily newspapers. However if they do not then they need to make clear that papers are chargeable. I was not informed of this and were charged for newspapers that I assumed were free of charge. The hotel is too remote to allow the casual visitor to roam around and the taxi fares are very expensive to just go out for 1 hour. Also no shopping facilities. not ideal when you don't have a car. Nothing. That I had not stayed here before. all good,. Breakfast not included. But Breakfast excellent and extended. No public transport in the neighbourhood. Onlyreachable by motorvehicle. Suggest hotel could do with pendel to and from airport. The bed was hard. the lighting in the room was too dim. Being an airport hotel, international visitors, should have some option to view movies in English since most of the TV is not available in other languages. the spa is only open from 12, while we wanted to try it in the morning. Despite the name this hotel isn't ANYWHERE NEAR the airport, nor near anywhere else. Located in a nondescript business park, a EUR13 taxi ride away from the airport and a 20min walk from the nearest signs of civilisation. What's the point... Food in the restaurant could be better. Away from Airport, therefore not deserving the name Airporthotel (which one expects to reach on foot). I missed swimmingpool. Excellent hotel.negative was a margherita pizza, it was terrible to eat.... service 3 because of the pizza. Room rate is expensive, if could include in breakfast will be great. I was incorrectly charged by the hotel an extra $450. I noticed the charged on my credit card. I immediately sent them an email and they never bother to reply. I am disputing the matter through my credit card, but it is unacceptable that I still have not received a response from the hotel. Could it be because they want to steal my money? I will never stay at that hotel again.
