Position in the Altstadt, slap bang in the middle of the bars and restaurants buzz. Room to the rear of the hotel on the top floor made for a very quiet stay. Balcony overlooking the rooftops to the Rhine tv tower and Rhine bridges. Bathroom was well fitted out and big, the walk in shower was fantastic. Although breakfast was basic, it was included in the price so shouldn't grumble. However meals at Benders Marie, the restaurant under the hotel were amazing - Best schnitzel I've ever had and I .
all reviews » Location is spot on if you want to have almost an unlimited selection of restaurants, pubs,clubs...etc. you basically step out of the hotel and you're in the middle of all the action. So if you are looking to have some fun this place is perfect. The rooms are very clean and enough space to arrange your stuff. Will def stay there again . Hotel was very well located and easily accessed via the metro system. The staff were excellent and our room very clean and comfortable with a balcony. Nice touch of a plate of apples and fizzy water along with a biscuit on the pillow. Easy access to restaurants. Definitely would stay here again. People were very friendly en helpfull room was good floorcarpet has to be renewed was clean but durty.Breackfest was good en friendly. I can see why people complain about the lack of lifts if you're on the top floor and unfit or not up to the climb. This wasn't an issue to myself. I could still be there now waiting for the wifi key for internet access. I asked staff they said it was in the room. Where?. No elevator . So you'll suffer a bit to take your bags but should not be an issue. I should have stayed here more nights. Beware the lack of lift. High floor rooms are quite a climb. Parking is difficult in the area. Nothing really, some road / drain repair work has been going on for a few weeks which spoils the air quality but I guess this is tempory. No lift!. During our stay in the hotel there was no Hotel personel on site. The office was closed during our entire stay. The restaurant's bartender handled everything. Spoke Limited English which made it difficult to communicate. Online we reserved a room for two people and was provided with a single room instead. (No other rooms available) Hotel located in middle of block by bar scene loud noise/music made it hard to sleep. No elevator. No one there to let us in on arrival. Our keys were with a parking lot attendant 2 blocks away. Too hard to find Late check in ____________ Be careful with this city - there are a lot of Industrial Exhibitions in a year, and if you're lucky enough to get into the city during their - the prices on holels will be in 3-4 times upper then usual. The location - Dusseldorf is a heavy drinking city, and noise is all night. No-one at reception for the entire stay. No welcome pack, no information about the city or if you have an emergency. No soap in room. They take your money and let you get on with it. The reception for information (was closed all the time) Showercabin was broken. No elevator (did the marathon and had a room on the 4th floor ...) letsbookhotel.com told me on the line that I had to pay 165,- for two nights, the hotel let me pay 198,-. The service is very poor. It was difficult to find anybody from the staff during my entire stay. I had to pray for the free Wi-Fi access every day. I didn't get invoice when I left. I was promised that they are going to send it to me by email but they didn't! As it was a business trip I'm in trouble now. The road in front of them was under construction so could hardly get there. They should close for a few days or give vouchers for inconvenience. The owners should learn just a little English..
