Room space, internet facilities in room, music selection during breakfast, connection with local transport. is a very, very good hotel with a good service, furniture and cleanliness. situation, kindness of the staff. In overall the hotel was really nice,in a nice part of the town and really close to a tram stop and a bus stop(though we never used the bus)and the breakfast offered was really decent.The staff was friendly and helpful even though their english was not that good.The rates were rather low and all in all I can say is that the hotel worthed every last penny.all reviews »
Definitely, as stated in previous comments, its breakfast service is really good: lot of options and served in a convenient time. Its location is also very good as it's near of Cologne's centre, and the bus station is at one block while the train station is at 8 minutes by bus. For some days, this hotel is a good option. breakfest, clean room, position in the town - tram stop is by the entrance to the hotel. i think that is nice Hotel near Università ,it is well connected to the net of the local transports. location was very good, breakfasts quite satisfactory, room was well cleaned every day. Location: good connection to the city, tram stop nearby. The breakfast. Close to city center. Bathroom was good and shower had decent pressure. Area was not bad and reasonably well located. Not dirty.the absence of the elevator. They couldn't accept my credit card because they had some problem with their credit card machine they couldn't solve(I have to pay cash which was rather incovenient),I couldn't use the wi-fi internet(which had some reoccuring problem they couldn't fix),long set of stairs and no elevators,some bathroom ventilation would have been nice.Also as said before, the hotel doesn't have elevator, which made my stay a little difficult, but I was offered to change the room the next day without any aditional charge. The surroundings might be a little noisy, but not at night. I only suggest more care when cleaning the rooms because the toilet was not very clean and the bed not very well made. we smelt cigaretters in the room from a previous inhabitants, but room was no-smoking. a little abundant breakfast! :D but it is good. the promised wifi internet was not available. No heating in the rooms in October. best comfort. Room was cold, heating took a long time to come on. Nobody works in reception past 10pm. Keys were very temperamental for both front door to hotel and door to my room - each took 5 mins to open. Very basic accommodation, but at least it isnt dirty.

Travelling information
From the A4 motorway, take the "Köln-Klettenberg" exit towards Cologne Klettenberg and drive on the Luxemburger Road (B265). Leave the Luxemburger Road and turn left into the University Road. Before the "University of" underpass (large crossing), turn left into Zülpicher Road. The hotel is on the left side.
From the Cologne fair, drive toward Olpener Road (right of way road) in the direction of the centre, towards the Deutzer Bridge. Go onto the "Neumarkt". Bear in the middle to drive around the NE marks far straight out. At the Rudolfplatz, drive straight ahead over the crossing. At the next crossing, pass the crossing on the Aachener Road straight out, in order to make an immediate U-turn. After the underpass, turn right into the Zülpicher Road. The hotel is on the left side.
By train:
From Cologne Main Station (Dom Hauptbahnhof), you take line 17 to Ubierring and you get out in Neumarkt. From there, you take line 9 to Sülz and you get out in Zülpicher Strasse/Gürtel, there is the hotel.
