Everything. I thought it was very budget-friendly for the quality of the facilities. The idea of the separate bed cabins is brilliant. The showers and washrooms are terrific. Spent two great days in the hotel and the location is great as you can choose whether you would like to walk or you would like to take the convenient tram outside of the hostel to reach the centre of Cologne. All the decorations in the hostel will make you feel that you are the princess and the bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom and the toilet are clean and warm and you can have a great shower in any time you want which was just so great!! BTW. The hostel is really stylish and the room designs are amazing. I noticed that the shared hostel facilities were cleaned every day in the morning before breakfast. The shower was hot and powerful which was a big plus point for me. The location is good. It is close enough to the centre that we didn't bother getting the u-bahn at all. There are several really good German restaurants within a 10 min walk and also lots of 'creative' shops close by. The staff were friendly and helpful and the (one) . The rooms were exactly as pictured and absolutely pristine. Each bed had curtains, a lamp and a power socket. The facilities were well maintained and the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with any queries. This was my first hostel in Europe and it definitely set the bar high for the remainder of my trip. If I were ever to return to Cologne I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. We are young couple came to Koln to see carnival and the city. We liked staying in that hostel. Decorating rooms in different style is the great idea. Personal of the hostel is very friendly and responsive. The location is good, 15 minutes by walk of the historical and shopping center. It was definetely good experience, we recommend it! I'm a woman in my 40's and I would normally stay in hotels so I wasn't expecting a great deal from die Wohngemeinschaft but I wrong, very wrong! I cannot recommend this enough; the staff were so very helpful, the location perfect and the accommodation unbelievable. I love the fact that it was querky. I will definitely be stay again and you're never too old for a hostel;-). From the time i arrived the place the staff was awesome and very friendly and automatic you will feel at home. The bed was awesome, WC was very clean, bed linen always change, accesable to the tram, metro to connect the mai station..i definetly recommended this place to those love to stay in backpackers..value of money was really good and my 4 day excellent. The best thing is the hotel is right located in center of the hipster neighborhood of the city. 5 minutes' walk to the brüsseler platz you'll can find lots of cute restaurants and bars and shops. It's the second time for me at this hostel and it remains one of the best I've ever been at. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, design interiors, free coffee in the living room, nice bar in the same building. I appreciated that they let you pay when you check out and they give you towels with no extra fee. Highly recommended. Staff was very welcoming ans accomodating as I arrived earlier than planed and was able to access the room. I also could leave my luggage in a safe place on my check out date. Very helpful and cheerful staff Despite the fact that it was a very last minute booking I enjoyed the accommodation immensely: Clean - small number of rooms - towels - free wifi and most of all a nice big collection of games (from the old version of supermario to board games). Our room right next to the road, and there has no air condition in the room. so we have to open the windows all the night. Hence, it was noisy. The noise outside. The room I stayed in is on the side of the Richard-Wagner Str. where there is a lot of traffic. So it was a bit hard to fall asleep. It was about a 20 min walk from the train station but not a problem unless you have heavy luggages. Fyi it is closer from Moltekesteasse, the next station from Rudolfplatz. nothing. It was located a little far from the main station and takes about 30 minutes to reach there by walk. I had a bit of trouble finding it, so maybe it's not in the best location. Also, I didn't know that reception was on the 4th floor, I walked into the bar looking for it (but the staff there were helpful)!. None. There's no breakfast. Wifi is free but you have to log in and the limit is 500mb. You have to ask for more if you use it up. The pillow was too thick and hard, but they explained that I could ask for another, so it was not their fault. Not really. The fact that there wasnt many english travellers there. This is very popular with Germans which says alot about the quality of the hostel. :). - no complains -. If air conditioning can be added, things can turn out to be 100 percent perfect. the bamboo blind in our bedroom. We can see through other buildings opposite and vice versa. changing it to curtain will be better. Nothing. Maybe the bathroom was little but it was cute.
