Excellent location opposite the K-D ferry quay and it is definitely worth paying extra for a room with a river view balcony. Good choice at breakfast. The staff; they were able to direct us to parking and had a place we could store our bikes. Also the hotel is in the middle of everything in Cochem.great view and excellent helpful staff. Like many hotels in Cochem the bar appeared to be closed for winter!. Having slept late I arrived foor breakfast at 10:10 I asked for bread or a boiled egg but was told it was too late. I found the attitude of the breakfast service staff indifferent. I certainly would not treat my guests in this manner. Yes was unable to get an evening meal due to private functions on both nights we stayed, this was not told during the booking process.Uncomfortable beds, very poor pressure in the shower and very noisy!. bar restaurant closed very early. No close car parking space as in front of the hotel all spaces are assigend for public parking and fee is imposed. Very hot rooms (no a/c). Strong trafic noise during nigths. We have to pay from extrabed even if didnt have it. Breakfast was poor.
