40+ couple. Stayed in twin/double room for 2 nights. Ideal as a base. Next to gas station if driving. Quiet sound proofed rooms, clean, open 24hours, value for money, friendly and helpful staff. Towels, hair dryer and shower gel provided. Own bathroom/shower. Smoking and non-smoking rooms available. Air con and comfortable bed. I thought the hotel was excellent. It is a short walk from Alexanderplatz - a walk that is well worth taking to avoid the higher prices of the hotels there. The room was comfortable and quiet.
all reviews » Really clean quiet hotel exactly what is needed after long day in the city. Pleasant walk from all attractions and restaurants. Close to bars, shopping area and historical monuments, great place, great stuff!. The location is excelent, staff is very friendly, hotel is confortable!. The room and the staff were both excellent. Reasonable cost and easy for transport. Clean, comfortable and helpful staff. No coffee/tea making facility in room. Breakfast is very expensive so I didn't have any. Alexanderplatz has plenty of places that will give you a much cheaper breakfast and the hotel is next to a petrol station that probably could offer stuff too. Bar menu is very limited: just 3 snacks available. Food is microwave quality. Not worth eating. Wifi free in lobby, expensive in the rooms. Either way, very unreliable/over-subscribed. Saw huge packet loss, issues connecting to the AP, drop-outs, etc. Only English language tv channels were BBC World News and Al Jazeera. Breakfast. Directions to the hotel were a little confusing to the local taxi drivers I had to take 2 taxis to get there as the first one dropped me at the a differnt Ibis which was also in the Mitte, and even though the the second taxi was directed by the receptionist of the ibis Portmaden with intrustion to send me at the IBIs at AlexandraPlatz and guess what we ended up at the ibiz style which is also close to A.P. By the time I got to hotel I was worked up and almost 60 Euro Down. A bit removed from main area and a far walk to restaurants. Breakfast too expensive. WIFI only in common area and location is a bit of a walk from the main areas of town. The hole conservation of the building is fast poor.
