Lovely hotel, friendly and professional staff, good location, excellent air conditioning (the main reason I booked that particular hotel - August in Berlin can be stifling!). Would definitely stay there again. Very clean, nice, amazing location, great staff, great design.... very good choice. Loved lying in bed and watching the snow from the huge windows!. easy early check-in, very polite staff, very up to date furnishings and comfortable bedding, very quiet street.

We reserved a standard room, but it is not very comfortable with a small closet sufficient for one person in a double room and place only for one case.The location was ok for the u-bahn but there were no bars, cafes or restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel seemed not very busy either. There should have been more tourist leaflets,info in the hotel. I found that hostels are better for meeting people and getting info for touring the city!. Curtain in bath tab which stick to you, unpractical washing stand, bad furniture layout in the room (another one that we saw had better layout), very expensive.Breakfast charge. Had to ask for shampoo. Breakfast seemed expensive, but good coffeeshop 100m away. Not a big issue but the 'art' concept is not such a 'great' feature: nice art painting in the lobby and in the rooms but you don't feel to be in a 'museum'. In bathroom, I miss there some wall to prevent wet floor after shower.the room was very hot even tough the heating was turned off and the window was open and it was cold outside. Stinking bathrooms, shower curtains too low, bathroom without threshold = wet hotel room floor.I think the hotel is over rated it should be a 3 star hotel. its bland as hotels go the rooms are small its in the wrong place and it is way to expensive for Berlin I stay in hotels in berlin once a month.Ihave also stayed in the artotel in dresden.
