I stayed in 2 hotels in Paris, they all are 3 stars hotels and rank top 200 ones in TA. Compare of these two hotels, another one is with higher price, left bank, very close to Notre Dame and restaurants. But I will choose Le Relais Madelene next time. The first reason is the price. It is not cheap but when you see with the same price what other hotel room you can get in Paris you will know this hotel is value for money. The location is excellent. It is close to sightseeing and shopping areas. .
all reviews » prime location to go about the city for shopping (at the printemps and the lafayettes) and sight seeing (being only 2 blocks away from the metro station Madeleine). grocery store just a minute walk from the hotel. excellent staff, very helpful and friendly and having them there definitely makes me want to return to this boutique hotel on next visit. It was really a very nice place to stay,the room was very comfortable&nicely decorated,the location is perfect for everything,shopping,sightseeing or a business trip,the staff r very helpful&cheerful,thank u for introducing me to this nice hotel. The hotel was wonderful. We had the suite upstairs which we shared with the kids. The room was fabulous and very comfortable although the sofa bed for the kids was a little small. Staff tried to deal with it, came to our room and checked with their IPads and said wireless is ok while our phones couldn't get a signal at all... The room was very small, we haven't enough place to put our suitcases. The breakfast was good but poor, but I saw this is general for France (different from UK, for example). Friendleness of staff, thoroughness of cleaning staff, sauna broke after one use and was never repaired, the cleaning staff took one of the robes after our first night and never replaced another 5 nights, never left extra towels, no explanation of how to use phone or call for service, really NO explanation or directions on how to use anything. Nothing. Smoke drifting up from courtyard to our room Staff were pleasant but not very knowledgeable about tourist sites Carpet in room was quite stained Toiletries were not value for money. The staff in the reception works with limited dedication. They express clearly that they care nothing about guests. They think they have a monopoly.
