This is the first time we have ever stayed in a Hostel, and it was such a great experience, we will definitely do it again the future. This hostel was great value for money, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The facilities were great, the included breakfast was simple, but abundant, and delicious. The evening Happy Hour, which we only attended once, was great value for money, and the buy a drink and get dinner free was really convenient when we were too tired to go out. We will def.
all reviews » Had a great stay at the hostel. I arrived late at night with the train and there was no problem checking in. For me the best part was the walking tour, if it is done during one of the days you are staying, do not even think about not doing it. Emilie was a great tour-guide and made the city come alive with her descriptions and stories. This alone made staying there worthwhile.The location is perfect, right in the center of town and the rooms are clean, just remember to bring your own padlock fo. The location was great, couldn´t have been better. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and bed very comfortable to sleep. When there was a leaking sink in bathroom, it was fixed in short time after noticing the staff. Breakfast was good, and you could buy tasty snacks during the day in good price. There were lots of space to hang out with other travellers. Really nice experience in general. The staff (who all spoke English) and other guests were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. Facilities were excellent (plenty of internet-connected computers, communal TV, bar etc.) and it was in the most convenient location between the Old Town and the Promenade. Very good value for money too. Too good to be true!. Had a great stay there. Close to the train, only a 20 minute walk or two stops on the tram. Amazing place for anyone traveling alone. Top two hostels I have ever been to, which is saying a lot!. This hostel is situated in the heart of Nice, so you can easily see what you want. Also it is the best choice for those, who travel alone, because you will be able to chum up with a lot of interesting people. Good staff, good bar, good rest area on the ground floor with sofas and TV, breakfast in the morning... Location is very excellent. I walked to the hotel when I arrived at Nice first time. (It tooks around 15 mins) Hostel is near by beach and Promnad des Anglais.. there is a Laffayet department infront of the hostel. Staffs are very friendly and let me have useful information. It's just behind Lafayette, next to Place Massena, 5 min to the seashore, 2 min to the stop of Tram 1, 5 min to the bus stop of No.200, 400, 98,99 and so on. 5 min of walking to the beach or the flower market. Bathrooms were a bit strangely designed with the toilets and showers in the same room, but there were not many people at the time I was staying so it was not really a problem. You had to take the towels (even for washing hands) with you if doesn´t want to rent them from the hostel. At night it was a bit noisy out there, but I had ear plugs and slept well. There is no problems if you prepare well. The room I stayed in had one bathroom to share between 13 females so there was a bit of a queue in the mornings. It also got a bit too hot at night, had to kick my duvet off!. Nothing, that really deserve mention there. I wanted to take a rest in Nice however this hostel is not proper for the purpose. It was so noisy at night. Maybe a little bad air condition!. Wi-fi was not very fast in my room, it was enough to read news or search on google but I couldn't watch movie online. Though rooms were cleaned daily and there is an air conditioner, in my room air was still stale. Also there were not enough jacks in the room for 13 person, but you always can charge your gadgets in the bar. I stayed in a 12-bed room which has only one bathroom. You can imagine how long the queue is to wait for shower or washing.. To avoid this, either you get up very early or you get up very late, otherwise you have to waste a lot of time on waiting for the bath room. there was a smell in the room. The furnitures were a little bit old and not very clean. Cheaper dorms were not very clean, always busy at reception. Very poorly designed bathrooms and showers. But it is a hostel. It's rather dark in the 12-beds room. The bathroom could use a bit of touch up...torn shower curtain and towel hooks falling out of the wall. Breakfast wasn't much, toast and cereal. The rooms were super small. As soon as you got two people in a 4 person room it was cramped. Not much luggage room although there was luggage storage on the ground floor. nothing. Room was a bit clammy (12 beds), only 1 toilet and shower for 12 people. You need your own lock for the lockers (you can buy one at the hostel). The hostel hosts a lot of people, so it can get quite noisy even during the middle of the night. My room did not have a window so it was very very dark. Very noisy street. nothing much really. among 16 peple on the room there always will be some of them with evil-smeling shoes... Lift wasn't working so had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with luggage. Noisy people coming into dorm room after midnight. No elevator! But fortunately the friendly reception guy helped me with my luggage :). You need to pay deposits for Towels, Keys!. Too many people share one bathroom. Can heard people speak loud during midnight. the function of air change may be improved. Pricey but Nice is. only one bathroom in a room， waiting for a long time. Just what i expected. Staff were adequate, but not very friendly. Mosquitos :(. checkout time was early, 10 am. I think it should be 12.
