Location of the hotel is very comfortable for people who like to walk. To get the see you need aprox. 7-10 min on foot, to the old city - 15-20 min. At the same time you need 5 min. on foot to get the railway station you need only 5 min. The hotel is relatively small, and is located in an nice and peaceful place. So you can rest yourself after your trips to other cities or other activities. Reception staff is very helpful and nice, speak 6 languages (russian as well). In rooms there is ever.
all reviews » We liked the Oasis Hotel a lot. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Spoke good English and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The location was perfect for us for the Sea front and the Shopping. both within Ten minutes walk. In fact we were so pleased we are going to go back again and hopefully have the same room as we did this time. Liked the idea that tcheckov once stayed there too. The hotel is situated off the road within it's very own court yard with plenty of room for p. I booked through letsbookhotel.com at a price of 70Euros for a single room/night. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was a special low-season offer whereby I could have had the same room for 50Euros. But because I had booked through letsbookhotel.com they were not able to give me the discount!!!!! This is poor policy and next time I need a room I shall make sure to check what the hotel's price is before booking. Its name describes it perfectly - a little villa with a small but beautiful and shady Riviera garden (pine trees, palm trees, beautifully scented jasmine, birds ...) hidden away behind an elegant avenue, between the station and the sea front. The staff are discreet, helpful and efficient. It's an oasis of tranquility where Chechov stayed, apparently, several times when it was 'la Pension Russe'. Located right at the middle between the trainstaion and the beach, and no need to worry about the neiborhood at all. The hotel is inside a nice yard/garden, therefore very quite indeed. The day-time woman receptionist (sorry forgot her name...) is pariticlarly very considerate, kind and helpful. Room size is ok in "French" term. Breakfast offerings are adequent. Stayed here on numerous occasions and already have my next stay planned. Excellent, great value hotel with super friendly staff. Perfectly situated close to the prom, shops and restaurants. Adequate rooms with the added bonus of a fridge and tea making facilities. On site parking is an added bonus. A clean comfortable hotel.No frills basic accomodation in an ideal central location for the beach, shops and train station. All major attractions only 5 to 10 minute walk away. Design of bathroom poor - hit head when bent over sink, bath taps in middle of bath so easy to hit and change temp. of shower. Shower screen too big. Breakfast expensive. 1- wifi was very weak in rooms 2- 12 Euros for breakfast was not necessary because the price of room was enough to include breakfast 3- check in time is too late. Our room was rather small. The view into the bckyard!. Unfortunately parking is a problem in Nice; the hotel had a few parking spaces but they were all booked, so we had to find a parking spot on the street/public garage - and that was a nightmare (impossible to find due to so many tourists and extremely-expensive 25 euro/12-24h). We return because we like it despite the tiny shower, the rather small rooms and the expensive breakfast. Staff polite and efficient but not very friendly or welcoming. Room rather small. Breakfasts were quite pricey, so we never even tried eating there. They have signs up about Eco practices and say they won't change your towels if you hang them up. But they brought all clean towels every day, even though we hung ours up. This is disappointing for those of us who try to practice conservation. not too much decoration in the room. Very small room but we adjusted. Our room was on the small side and it would be worth trying to book a larger one if staying for more than a day or so. Small size of the room. No pool to cool off in . this time our room was VERY small - but as always clean. People smoking in the courtyard outside our room. it's ok. Breakfast at €12 is expensive so better off eating out. Maybe the pillows were hard : some nice duck feather ones would be perfect. nothing to mention. Walls are a bit thin.. Small shower in some rooms. there was absolutely nothing that displeased us. Seems like walls are made out of paper. I could hear snoring from the next room. Room that we stayed at, was very tiny. There are enough lots for parking in the hotel's garden. It must be cheaper or free. Nothing. Shower smells a bit, despite looks new and clean. I guess it comes from the pipes. Sound block. Check-out time at 12.00 is more convenient for us. Conditioner and TV were about out of order. Our room was not very clean - there were hairs on the sheets and the bathroom did not look like it had not been cleaned... The room was not so cleaned and there was a lot of sun coming from outside in the morning because I couldn't close the window completely.
