My wife and i stayed 7 nights in a huge cabin. We loved the place. Even as outside was minus 20 celcius, inside of the cabin was always confortable and hot. The cabin has everything we need. The kitchen is great and we cooked every day. Bathroom is also huge and water is very hot and the pression is excellent. Sauna, fireplace and wireless internet was also very good and everything work fine. It was one of our best vacations so far. The owners pickup and drove s back to the airport. They als.
all reviews » The owners. Both were very helpful to us. Due to an error within letsbookhotel.com our chalet had been double-booked. The couple that owns Ukonjärven worked very hard and did their best to mitigate and solve a problem that they had not even caused. Be it borrowing equipment or being picked up/dropped off in Ivalo or Inari we felt very well taken care of. Mrs Takkinen is also a great cook and dinner was not at all expensive for what we got (give it a try!). The location on the banks of Lake Inar. This was absolutely the best place we stayed in Ivalo. The place is located in the middle of the forest surrounded by many lakes which makes it beautiful. The owners are not only owners, they treat you like friends and will pick you at the airport or take you somewhere if you need with no cost. In addition they will let you skis and slides for enjoying the snow arround and the frozen lakes with no charge also. Totally peacefull and quiet and you cannot here any noise a part from nature. In the . nice staff, help me to arrange activities, free transportation between hotel and airport or bus station. The host picked up me at airport and then we went to supermarket, and he tell me where is the best place to visit northern light before check-in, he help me to the bus station at the last day. This is a good place to visit northern light, I watched northern light for two nights. We stay 3 nights, 2 at chalet and one at twin room. We enjoy the chalet much compared. The private sauna room is great and equipped with all u need for cooking. The lakeside is so peaceful with perfect natural scenery. Good place for natural and relaxing aurora hunting. Boss is helpful and nice, also for the lovely dog and cat. Ritta and Jos are a wonderful couple and were willing to help the guests traveling from place to place. The room for 2 was small but pretty much had everything we need to live through 4 days.The location was great-- right by the lake. It was overall an unique and positive experience. The location is ideal as the guesthouse is near the railway station by a few minutes walk. The room is big and well-equipped with a kitchen and bathroom, just like an apartment. We satisfied with this guesthouse and recommend to all travellers if you stay in Rovaniemi. The shy but friendly boss has a lot of stories to tell. The forest and lake are awesome!! We have wild blueberries just in front of our cabin! It's a great journey and we luckily see the Aurora Borealis in a not-so-good weather day!. Stayed in a cabin which was warm as toast, even though it was -19 outside! Lake is beautiful, and hardly any artificial light makes this a great place for hunting for aurora. Excellent fast wifi in the cabin too. This must be one of the most suitable place to observe aurora. The host is so nice to provide pick up service at the airport or bus-stop. Silence of nature awesome. peaceful and wild nature place. we made the reservation in a rush via booking and 10 minutes after we arrived we already got the keys. small cabin with tv and a lake nearby. there was a microwave and a kettle which were very nice. it is located near the lake and is a perfect place to see the aurora. since there is no shops or markets nearby, you can enjoy complete tranquility. The location was nice and peaceful in front of Lake Inari. Very friendly staff. Nothing really. The equipment like skis or snow shoes are not - as the owners put it - "high end", some of the things were a bit dated or there was only limited selection. Then again, they were all free to use, which is not the case in other places. far away from cities, 12km away from Ivaloi and 32km away from Inari. The wifi is not much stable. Nothing, everything was very nice. the wireless is not so good, for in the evening it will be weak and unstable to use. Nothing. A great destination. roomes with basic furnecher. very weak internet, it is difficult even to check the mail - constant disconnects. the shower, sink and the toilet were too close to each other, there windows in the room had no nets to keep away the flies from coming in. the door was kind of tricky but you get it after a few times. the town nearby is pretty boring. it would be better if you have a car and if the staff would put more smile on their face. Many mosquitos, the double room was very basic and shabby. There was a bad smell in the bathroom.
