Everything was perfect! From the moment we checked in, we were very pleased with the staff and how attentive they were to our needs. The room was quite large and very clean, the bathroom very modern (the tv was a nice touch!) and breakfast very delicious! The location, next to the harbour, was ideal for market and boat visits. The hotel is also located very close to the tourist office, and you can easily walk to the main shopping area. I loved everything about this hotel !.
all reviews » The location is the best in Helsinki right by the harbour. The hotel is a luxury boutique sized hotel. The rooms are large and very nicely appointed with big bathrooms. Ask for a harbour view room. It has a decent spa. The Havis restaurant and the very old Sundmans Krog brasserie are lovely. Overall this hotel is smart, with a lovely lounge and nice relaxed atmosphere. I am very choosy about hotels and Haven is thoroughly recommendable if you visit Helsinki... Great location near the harbour where you could take sight-seeing boats around the coast or to the fortress. There are stores and restaurants nearby. Two of the cathedrals are within 10 minutes walk. The staffs at the reception are extremely helpful. Also, there are stamps for sell at the reception if you need. The facility's are great. Good wifi signal. Interesting to have a tv set in the bathroom. Hotel Haven is really a haven, they project it as a home away from home. It was fabulous, so cosy, comfy, front desk staff terrific, everyone went out of their way to assist, I travelled this time solo, breakfast was a bit lacking with not much fruit and cold tea, but that was rectified quickly - had to be one of the best hotel stays of my life; thank you Hotel Haven for a wonderful stay. Always very friendly reception, the Lux rooms have a great view of the harbour, boxspring beds are a dream, location right next to the sea and close to the center is unbeatable. I especially like the design elevator with illuminated floor - this is something that other hotels always neglect. Centrally located hotel is close to main touristic areas. The table by the window did not allow me to see through the window in relax, just leaning me on the window watching the landscape. Nothing. The toilet was running throughout the night. It should be fixed. Nothing. Small as a double room. For me just fine, since booked as a sgl room. Small gym. Rate quite high. It was cold at night and heating was not available. the gym is very small, and one has to get out physically of the hotel to go to any of the hotel restaurants. No convenient when its freezing outside. No faults; would hope to stay there again. Due to the season Christmas 2 gym machines were not working. But it was a great stay. No objections. Breakfast falls a little short if you're looking for a hot buffet, seems so easy to fix and then this hotel would be faultless.
