This hotel lived up to previous rave reviews we had read. We had a very comfortable and spacious room with, unexpectedly, a king size bed. (Perhaps we'd been upgraded?) Good tv, great wifi, plenty of towels, interesting design touches with the furnishing. Good quality carpet in the room and corridors and thick walls and doors make the rooms very quiet. Breakfast was a quality continental buffet, constantly replenished, including porridge which was delicious and satisfied our liking for somethin.
all reviews » Wow! This is an incredible hotel! The room is modern and full of amenities and classy. The bed is heavenly! The entire place is really nice and the breakfast is huge and varied and tremendous! But I must point out that the best thing is the staff at the front desk. I was having a terrible time getting a reservation set up online with an airline website that was not working and they actually called the airline for me, since I could not get through on my cell phone, making it possible for me to g. Great small & peacefully situated Hotel, very friendly & helpful staff (the duty manager was even able to recommend several specific shops?! ;o) Everything you need is within walking distance: tramstop, ferryterminal, supermarket (opened daily!), marketplace & other must sees. The room was very clean, nicely furnished & decorated, great design. Breakfast was small but enough & nice. Over all the perfekt place to stay in Helsinki- highly recommend it. The hotel is located on a quiet street just out the busy center of Helsinki, few minute walking distance from anywhere. Normally a bit pricy, but have good bargains every now and again. It actually makes for a quieter experience. - couldnt open the window, after asking, they left open a small one so we could get some fresh air :) - very noisy ventilation, drives you crazy at times.. its such a shame because the room/hotel in general was extremly quiet & therefore really comfortable!. No evening snack in house. Nearest restaurant is literally around the corner though. -not enough hooks in bathroom. It is just a couple of blocks away from the esplanade and does not have the balcony that we see in the photograph. Nothing. There is nothing to dislike. It is a pity that there are no restaurant, I arrived at 21h30 and would have liked to eat something but the hotel only provides breakfast, next time I will know. we asked about slippers bcs no slippers in our room and asked about iron(the same situation), girl politely apologized and brought them. Nothing. The layout of the room Furniture was oversized No bathtub. The pillow wasn't for me, but too hard. It would have been nice to have a coffee machine or kettle with tea/coffee in the room. Leaving. The reception area is too small (we had to wait for checking-in outside, because all space was already been occupied by 4 persons and their luggage). There's no omlet/scrambled eggs in breakfast menu, boiled eggs only, no restaurant in hotel (therefore, you can't order dinner in your room), only snacks in lobby. Very little space for breakfast. windows can not be opened, air condition can not be switched off and it is little noisy, little space between tables and chairs in the breakfast room. no restaurant at the hotel, small breakfast room. There was no omlet at breakfast. Found the air conditioning quite cold and unable to turn down, but our fault also as we didn't approach the desk for help!. Nothing, everything n my stay was perfect. I could see some stain between tiles on the bath floor. There was a smell from sewage.No slippers in the room.Breakfast is not rich. No Sauna or Spa....other that nothing. 1. I was uncomfortable to go to sleep, the bed is not very well.
