This place is excellent for the price, though it is quite a long way from the centre - 30 minutes walk or a tram ride. Some of the rooms are great and some pretty average. I stayed twice and had one of each. The good room was recently renovated, spotlessly clean and had a kettle so I could make coffee in the morning. The bathroom and kitchen are shared between two rooms but both times I stayed there was no-one in the other room so it was effectively a private bathroom and kitchen. It was the un.
all reviews » Great value for money. Ground floor in a student hostel, so do not expect luxury, but recently renovated, quiet, and in lots of green. Tram n. 12 stops right outside and takes you do the city center in 10 minutes. Transportation is not expensive, a 5-day pass was around 10 euros. Kitchen and shower are your own or shared with one more room. If you want to cook bring or buy your pots, there aren't any. One common microwave in the lobby. Two common computers and a wifi area in the lobby, but con. Nice room and bathroom, more comfortable than you would expect in a student dorm. The second time I stayed the woman checking me in didn't speak any English and seemed to be in a total panic about doing all the paperwork which took her absolutely ages, and the room I was given was nowhere near as good as the first one, though it was still fine, it looked much more like a typical student room, and the kitchen didn't have a kettle. It was not quite clear to me when I booked that my room would be so close to another one - that is, we share kitchen and bathroom. Shared bathroom is indicated, of course, and kitchen was a positive surprise, so no real problem there. Very good experience, overall. There were no glasses, cups or plates in the apartment kitchen. When we had stayed at the same hostel 4 days before, the kitchen had been well equipped. When we asked about the problem at the reception we were told that glasses and cups were not the standard. Nobody told us about any "shared kitchen" which is (now I am reading it) advertised on the hostel website. Also, there were moths dead and alive everywhere in the apartment kitchen, which spoiled the overall good impression a bit. - no WiFi in the room. A little noisy neighbours, however they went to sleep shortly after having been told about it. No air-conditioner, but it wasn't a problem for us as the weather was cold. Kind of noisy in the morning. I fell asleep and missed 10:00 checkout limit time so the janitor came knocking at my door like crazy. The building entrance is dark and there's no guiding signs. WiFi in our room was low signal and dissconects all of time. Bathroom is very poor. The doors were too squeaky and drove us nuts. You should lubricate them!. kitchen was empty (no plates, cups etc), only one bathroom (with shower and toilet) between two rooms so could be annoying if the other room is occupied. the fact that there was no internet access for 4 day. Staff were great. Possibly the worst bed I have ever slept in. Real student hostel with not very clean bathroom and kitchen. Wifi only in lobby. On the letsbookhotel.com the breafast was announced but there was no breakfast. The receptionist was not at her post upon check-in and check-out and was generally rude in attitude.
