After a not-so-great experience with a booking at another apartaman, we decided to try our luck at getting a last-minute booking at Villa Gravić. Luckily, there was an affordable room with a beautiful view, and the owner was so friendly, kind and generous. She looked up ferries for us to take to Cres, told us about some good local restaurants, and helped us with our plans around town. The villa is in the Diklo neighborhood, which is peaceful and reminded me of the small beach cities along the .
all reviews » Evanna the owner of villa gravic could not be more helpful when 17 of us landed at her door when she was expecting 10. She couldn't do enough to accommodate us and gave us great advice on local amenities. Half of our group were flying to Ireland at 6.45 am with the rest flying to the uk later that day. She provided a mini bus to the airport and let those leaving later check out late, both were much appreciated. This is a quiet family run block of apartments and would suit people looking for som. Beautiful view of the sea!! Easy to find and near a bus stop. Ivana was super helpful and drove us to our restaurant upon arrival!! She also drove us to the bus stop one morning because of the rain! She is super helpful with planning! Cute European rooms with all the amenities! Beautiful little pool!! Great parking if bringing a car!. Highly recommend Villa Gravic. Clean and Ivana and her family could not do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. Very knowledgeable on local area, so can advise the best way of visiting local landmarks - The pool was just right for the odd dip. Some nice restaurants nearby and short bus trip into old town which has a great buzz about it. The apartments are quite spacious with good facilities. We loved the little pool and the sea side is only a 5 minute walk away. It was my wife's birthday and the owner kindly arranged some flowers for me :-) Would definitely stay here again. A little way from Centre and Old Town, but a regular 15 minute bus journey and cheap taxi available if no transport. Couldn't fault it!! Even if I tried!. Nothing. The mosquitos... Pool rather small with several children. as an adult, I did not want to be around all the noise. Small bit out of town but bus stop only 5 min walk away so we managed without needing a car. The only point I can think of is that it would be better if you had a car. The location is fine to walk and catch buses into Zadar, but to do Croatia well, I believe you need to drive. Bit far from town so you definitely need wheels if you stay there...we had wheels and we were very happy. Difficult to find do to unique street name and numbering system in Zadar. Multiple streets with the same name and no sequencing of street numbers. Gps misleads you to a paralel street . At least mine did. Look up the road and you will see the hotel. No negatives. The outdoor pool wasn't heated so we were unable to use it!. Located far from the old town.
