What a great little find! The rooms had everything you could ask for - kitchen, TV, outside area, air con and even a washing machine! The apartment was small but really had everything you need and was very homeley. The location was great about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Split. Near to the steps up to Marjan hill for a bit of countryside escape. Great hosts, really friendly, kind, helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.
all reviews » The owner and his family are very nice. The apartment was nicely furnished (stereo, DVD player, DVD's, knick-knacks from around the world). The owner left 2 beers, a bottle of orange juice, and a bottle of water in the refigerator and informed me that they were for me- I thought this was a nice touch. I had problems finding the apartment, and the owner came to meet me. The location is good- about a 7-10 minute walk to the old city section (Diocletian's Palace) of Split. The owners were very friendly and super helpful. They went out of their way to help us with our trip, and made us feel very welcome in Croatia and Split. I would not hesitate to recommend staying in this Superb location, minutes from everything - including incredible views over the city from the cafe up the hill. The apartment was clean, welcoming and very comfortable. Thank you so much!!. Everything. Clean, comfortable, quiet; in a neighborhood near the historic city center. Short walk to train, bus, and ferry. Host family all worked together to take care of us. Arranged transportation for us arriving and departing. Walked us to town to make sure we knew the way. The apartment locates in the historical old city of Split, only takes 5 mins walk to City Center. Clean and comfy apartment with free wi-fi. We booked this apartment last minute - literally, 10 mins before arriving at its doorstep because we But the owner was very accommodating and we had a comfortable stay in the studio room. The room is just right for two people, and probably too small for any more than that! There was a washing machine, two hobs and some welcome beer ;). Very good value apartment with very friendly service. We were greeted and shown to our flat where there were complimentary cold beers in the fridge and we were then shown the way into town. All apartments are located great to visit the strip of Split (400 meter walk). The location is very convenient and in the old town, so it's charming. Location amongst pretty streets in old town. The room, bathroom, and shower were very small. I am not a tall person, and I found the shower space cramped. For a tall or large person, the shower could be a challenge. I was a solo traveller and was in Apartment 1. Perhaps the other apartments are larger. The apartment is a bit tricky to locate, we had to call for directions and have someone fetch us. But grateful we got a roof over our heads so last minute!. The only negative, was the shower cubicle in our particular apartment was very small. The communal seating area right outside the apartment, where the locals sat and partied. Neighbourhood could be a bit noisy especially early morning, with dogs barking, and bells ringing at 6am - only a problem if you are a light sleeper, which I am!! Just those few niggles for what was a good apartment. Bed was just ok, bathroom is very small, and no view at all from the unit. Photos of actual unit could be clearer. Not obvious to approach the place by car and park. Narrow paths and stairs to access the house would definitely not suit disabled persons or if you have kids in trollers. It's up a number if lane ways which are quite steep but there is nothing to be done about this as the town of Split is like that everywhere. When we arrived there by car we almost couldn't turn in the narrow street, but a friend of the owner parked our car for us. N/A. The studio is very small, if you plan to stay in apartment it's not the best choice. Difficult to find (the apartment numbering isn't logical!). Nothing, we couldn't fault this apartment. Those who arrive by car need to speak to Maya about parking which can be difficult. Little bit small to 2people or women. (In case of me, I'm ok) There is no light at the Road in front of apartment. The apartment was too small. The pictures on the web-site were deceiving, our apartment was not pictured, otherwise we would not have stayed there. We only had a small kitchen area with 2 chairs - no sitting room like on the pictures. We had to take turns to eat breakfast. Finding was difficult. They should add a good mapped route picture to their site. Very difficult to park your car here (small one-way street with practically no room to navigate). Our apartment was a little bit old-fashioned and the bathroom was very-very small (while the rest of the apartments was large). Not that cheap since no breakfast is included or optional. Its hard to get to by car, but the owners offer a taxi driver who comes to your door and carries your bags up the steps to the street where cars can come. Not sure if he's moreexpensive than most. Also the apartment was clean, but not the most comfortable or modern in terms of furnishings and functionality. It was impossible to find. We nearly gave up all hope and booked into somewhere else. We found it by chance! There was no street map available at first. It was very basic but with old appliances and bathroom could do with some modernisation.
