Miho (the owner) is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is great - a pleasant 10 minute walk into the old town and in a mix of residential/ tourist area. We liked how you feel you are "in" Dubrovnik. The great views are from one of the apartments and the shared terrace. Local schoolchildren meet on this terrace for a crafty cigarette on their way to school but they did vacate the chairs and tables when we appeared. After staying here, we went to Montenegro then stayed one night in a ho.
all reviews » room was great, very quiet, nice design, awesome view from terrace, super modern bathroom, comfortable bed, manager super nice, came to pick us up and drove us to the airport, is on call 24/7, which is really great, very close to the beach which was very nice and big (one of the biggest we have seen in Croatia), close to the city walls to, excellent value for the money considering the location. Wifi and airconditioning worked perfectly. Host drove us to the airport for a fee and was very punctu. Villa situated in a convenient position for sight seeing, boat trips,restaurants,bars and the beach. View from balcony spectacular. The appartment is very well furnished with up to date equipment. Owner of Villa was very helpful and friendly. We took up the choice of being picked up and dropped off at the airport at a cost that was less than the standard taxi fare. Awesome place. We had the one bedroom apartment with a view over the water and the old city. The apartment is like new, beautiful, with a large kitchen and living area and a very comfortable sofa bed. The owner was awesome, very helpful and made us feel very much at home. Only 5 minutes walk to the old city and very quiet. The staff were all friendly and willing to do whatever was necessary to make your stay easy and enjoyable. They went the extra mile on every occasion. Villa Ragusa was an amazing place to stay. The suite is basically a full one bedroom apartment. It has a full kitchen stocked with all cooking ware, and a grocery store nearby. First of all the villa is located within walking distance from the old town. Secondly, they took care of me and they came to my car to show me how to find their parking. And last but not the least the friendly people. The location is really great but caution the steps up or down from the streets below or above may be problematical for some people. I was seduced by that and didn't do enough research - if I had, I would have seen that you only have a 1 in 4 chance of that view - through our windows we looked onto a brick wall. There are a lot of steps to the Villa and you have to have a level of fitness to deal with them. the general description somewhere said "family rooms", which made me think that there were some common rooms to all apartments where we could lounge and cook, but there were none. Minor detail though, since we spent all our time outside!. Stairs but that is Dubrovnik and everywhere in Europe. Great for getting in shape. 120 stairs to get to the old city. The steps (118/119 of them) but we knew about that prior to reservation. Also, if you are a step-hater don't go to Dubrovnik at all (it's not a place for you) :). Many steps to climb from lower street, but not a deterrant to stay here. A little bit difficult to find, but Miho was kind enough to meet us at a nearby hotel and take us there. Annoying sound from fridge. Nothing. The stairs to climb when walking back from the city, but I looked at it as exercise:-). We are nearly 70 and found the constant long sets of stairs to go anywhere abit tiring. Beware steps can be a struggle from the lower road. We counted 149. The steps...but Miho carried all my stuff.... U r totally looked after Croatioans style!. no view from room; no kitchen facilities yet there are dishes and cutlery you can use. There are some steps to get to the hotel from the parking as well as from the old town, but not so bad to discourage anyone. Besides, they usually help you on carrying the luggage. Would have helped to know they dont accept credit cards and that there are many steps to negotiate, especially if you have heavy luggage. No negatives for me but many stairs might be an issue for travellers with walking problems. Nothing - great place to stay!. Fridge was noisy ( we had to switch it off for the night). No view from the room, only the 4-person appartment has a view. Position being half way up/down a hill. Parking provided but not secure. I believe plans are in hand to improve parking. Nothing, really. No view from our room straight into wall behind house. Nothing at all. No view from the room. No cleaning. There were no view from the room. There were no personnel at the villa (only phone contact).
