The building is totally charming and rooms are well-appointed; the perfect mix of sleek and modern with the right amount of local touches. Clean and very cute, a lot of effort was obviously put into this hotel. Breakfast was very tasty with homemade croissants, champagne for mimosas and good omlettes and cold cuts. the location is fantastic. Superb location-close to the city and beach but seemed a million miles away because of the peaceful ambiance. Our "Lokrum Room" had wonderful views and was beautifully appointed.It was like our own private Villa thanks to Matej who could not have offered a better personal service during our stay.
all reviews » Fantastically appointed and stylish room with stunning views. The manager (Matej) was always on hand and willing and able to assist with any queries. The location was perfect being a 5 minute walk from the Old Town. Overall a fantastic place to stay and highly recommended. Villa Allure was excellent in every respect. And we loved that it was only a few minutes walk from the Ploce Gate, the less busy entrance to Dubrovnik and that we were then immediately beside the old harbour and the main square. great location - staff we super nice and helpful - carried all of our bags for us - the room was very clean and comfortable, The best chocolate croissant i have had for breakfast. High level B&B in a small but well equipped villa, optimal position near to the historical downtown. The problems with the hotel could very easily be resolved to make this a great place. First off, there was no staff around when we arrived. There is no sign, and the address is incorrect on their website, so we weren't even sure if we were in the right place! Their site says free parking but there isn't any (tho parking is cheap up the hill). Their menu says fresh juice and loose leaf tea but there wasnt any. Nothing!. Wish for some little more frequent room cleaning services... Little touches on bathroom (soaps , extra. The breakfast was not great. Had trouble opening the door on several occassions. Parking was expensive at a near by hotel lot. Dubrovnik isn't the place for a car but as we were traveling around Croatia we needed it. Would recommend leaving the auto behind. The price is a little high but Dubrovnik isn't cheap!. Price was a little high and no parking. No daily replacement of toiletries No coffee machine in room. since there is no staff /room service in the evenings ; it will be important to have a kettle in the rooms. It was close to a busy road and the view was obscured by the Excelsior Hotel. I didn't dislike anything, but the room was a little small for the price and we had a shared terrace, although there was nobody in the other room, it wasn't stated when we booked that the terrace might be shared. This should be made clear before booking. price/ quality ratio unsatisfactory. The room service was poor, in a week was only cleaned once (bath, toilet, shower, mirror, etc.)! And that's just because we complained to the manager. Only the towels were changed daily and the beds were made! The staff has no idea of 4*service. The room was dusty, the window sills obviously never cleaned (mortar residues). What is offered for the price is far too high!. Bathroom was not cleaned a single time and the sheets were not changed during our 5 night stay. As one would except that those things would be taken care of. Villa Allure was supposed to be a 4 star accommodation. In any case, the cleaning could been better. Rooms were very sterile. For the price we would have liked some basic amenities in the room like a coffee maker and some drinks in the fridge. Furniture in the room very uncomfortable Very difficult to find and parking not close. the poor staff services. The first day we waited for about 1 hour for somebody to prepare our breakfast, nobody came till we left to the city center. No coffee/ tea in room. Iron and board facilty needed. Rooms not serviced daily. Breakfast very limited. Poolside refreshments required. Very small room ,not balkonу No-ventilated and sleep with the windows open is not possible t to the road 10 meters I do not think that this villa and appartmeny and so the price does not match the comfort.
