Staff are friendly and efficient in here. Room is big and comfortable. It is located in front if the metro station so it is very easy to access. The local famous shopping street is right in front of the hotel and is worth to visit for a day. The area is safe to walk at night and is quite. Pharmacy, cafe and convience store are within walking distance. Compare to the price I pay, I definitely think that they are out of what I expecting them. I specially need to thanks to the door man who serve.
all reviews » The rooms were big, clean and functional. The breakfast on the 49th floor gave us a great view of Shanghai. The hotel was beside a mall and subway station that makes it convenient to shop and get around the city. After the mall and subway is a lovely, artistic and trendy development marked with small shops and restaurants where you can spend an entire morning or afternoon shopping and dining. Lovely to take the wife in the evening. A Catholic Church (St. Peter) is nearby but requires a 15-20 mi. I found most staff to be very helpful. One always finds one or two of the staff that excells and this goes for the reception, breakfast and even the porters.Bedrooms are very comfortable and internet in my room was good as I had to do lots of work from my room. Was also given a late checkout. Breakfast was very good and it was nice, on occassions, to be greeted by the chef with whom I had some conversations. Very near to Tian Zi Fang, a 10 min walk. Not far from the the centre, 10 min by taxi.(, 20-30 yuan). Subway is also near to the hotel. The hotel has a coffee shop, which was good after a long flight, did not have to leave the hotel the first evening. Comfortable room, great bed, good bathroom (bath & shower!, clean, and neat toiletries), very nice breakfast with super view over Shanghai and great great service overall. At our request, changed the room without a problem because we felt cigarette smoke in first room. I would recommend this hotel. The hotel is clean, quiet and nicely decorated and the staff speaks excellent English. Even though our room was next to the elevators, we weren't disturbed at all. No wireless Internet WiFi in the rooms!. Some Guests did not observe the floors non smoking policy. WiFi was unstable and the body lotion was not replenished a new one on my first night of stay. The bar on floor 50 is pretty dull. Staff hardly speaks English, but is very helpful, so it takes some time, but eventually everything works out... It's hard to get a taxi during traffic Hour. It took us 30 minutes waiting to get a taxi. Arrange taxi should be part of service. through letsbookhotel.com did not give me any points as other agents would give me some thing as return. It takes lot of time queuing for check out. Difficult for Vegitarian people . no much food dishes for them . I don't like if no Wi-Fi in the room!!!!. Breakfast vas very poorly presented by chefs not inugfh choice of vegeterians only thing I eat in mirning omlet with mushroom but on second day my stay they didnt have mushtoom rest of my 3 day stay, and cooking stuf was unfriendly and un helpful,. If a meal starts at some specific time you better be there early, if not at the beginning of the time window, otherwise you will be surrounded by cleaning, moping, rearranging etc for a next meal. If you are having a drink in the bar, or snack in the lounge the same. Spiced bacon and funny tasting sausages though eggs done ok and service good. Didn't give free cocktails as room description advertised. Happy hour closed half an hour early, so we missed it. The rooms only go up to the 24th floor. Bad communication between staff members. Food, not clear for a 5 star hotel. The staff at skybar is terrible. If you order salad you will have to wait for minimum 1 hour or even you will not get after waiting for 1 hour because suddenly kitchen will be closed. Quality of bread for breakfast Management of the hotel is very strange. Construction going on and not being informed about it by booking. Night restaurants not that good specially the buffet. The weird perfume in the lobby. No wifi in the rooms. No door in the bathroom. The room is noisy with the renovation starting as early as 8am every morning. The staff at the reception counter was very impatient when asked questions on eating and hangout places in Shanghai!. It's the worst 5-star hotel i have been.No service/staff is helpless/cheating with the parking cost/Not baby friendly...I won't be there for ever!.
