The room was excellent. It was spacious. the bed was very comfortable. Wifi and cable internet was great. Room service was excellent. nice view of the city. 5-minute walk to metro station, bars, restaurants and coffee shops. One f the best area/hotel to stay in Guangzhou. Everything was excellent in this hotel, Staff,cleanliness,guidance to a foreign tourist,food,spa etc etc etc.... i loved everything about this property and whenever i have a chance to visit GZ again , i would definitely stay again at Holiday inn -city center.
all reviews » spacious rooms, very large and comfortable beds. good breakfast buffet; 5 minutes walk to the metro; excellent service from professional staff. Amazing staffs with great proficiency in english. The staffs at the Gyms are great and very helpfull. 1 girl and 2 guys. The beds are the most comfortable beds in Guangzhou. Soft and hard pillows, clean bedding, and soft mattress. The location is very near to shopping complex. Business center and easy to move about in town. The price, value and location. Buffet for breakfast is pretty good. Plenty of options. The staff friendliness, courteous, helpful and the hotel location. Staff had good command of English.good value for price. Very comfortable and convenient location. clean comfy & value for money. You can easily find a taxi there. Shopping is great. place. Good location, right in the middle of action. Located in the heart of the city. Clean, and confortable. *Location *Size and comfort of the room. Little understanding of English for local staff. nothing. I am not a fan of the toiletries the use. The room is small not suitable with family with children. the rooms are a bit dated. Less choice of vegetarian food. Air-condition a little noisy. Reception staff are not friendly and you cannot exchange from RNB to dollar. nothing. My rate per room included breakfast. But at the time of check in first we were told only one person can have breakfast for 1day only as against 2breakfast per room per day for 4 nights. We were asked to pay 7breakfasts. On our refusal to stay there they agreed to provide breakfast.THIS Is cheating, unethical,unfair. Very old and used up interiors and bathrooms. Needs urgent refurbishment. Sluggish concergies. the reception staff is poor. not very clean ,. It is a franchise not managed by the Holiday Inn. Equivalent to a 3 stars in europe. *Hotel looks tired and not so clean *Not many options for vegetarian food or cuisine *No place to sit in the lobby *No shaving mirror in the bathroom. Facilities are kind of too old, need renovation.
