Mr Panda Youth Hostel has a really friendly and helpful staff and great atmosphere. You can meet a lot of other travelers here, localization is also good, not far from train station and right next to cheap restaurants. The bathrooms and rooms are kept clean. I loved my stay there, one of the best hostels I've seen in China! :). Location near to train station and strategic. The toilets are very clean. Hair driers are located at strategic place. Washing machine is also provided in common area. Mr Panda also lend us his thick jacket for the Jiuzaigou trip as it is cold during that time.
all reviews » I cannot recommend this hostel enough. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! The location is great, close to the subway. The staff go the extra mile for you, the beer is cold, the food is great and I wish I could have stayed here longer!. Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff, nice athmosphere and decoration in the common areas. Mr. Panda really cares about your stay and impression. The bed is comfortable. Wifi signal is decent even in the 3rd floor. Very close to subway station. Excellent staff. Very welcoming, all speak good english. They have a very good restaurant. They arrange good tours as well. Staff availability and kindness even late in the evening and early in the morning! Dormitory recent and clean. Good price. Very clean, comfortable, probably the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Not a thing was bad about this place. Book now!. Very basic room with no shelves or wardrobe to store your clothes or put your toiletries. So you have to keep your clothes in your luggage or backpack.There was no toilet brush and soap but they gave you toilet paper. The carpet in the room was old and dirty but everything else was clean. The bathroom is really a giant shower cabin: toilet, sink and shower in the same space. No kitchen available for guests to cook. Could do with wifi in the rooms. wifi didnot work. Nothing. no pool table. I didn't have enough time to visit more places in Chengdu. That is what I didn't like. my room was with squat toilet. The male stuff who doesn't wear glasses. He was quite rude compared to other staff. He threw my credit card to me. CleAniness , they didnt even offer new towels , no soAps or toilet pAper. No tv in the room (we had a tv in other hostel for the same price) Self-service laundry a bit overpriced. noise after 10:00 pm smoking in the room. Rooms were tiny and had a bad odor, bathroom sink leaked lots of water water from another room, no toilet paper, nauseatingly pink room color. No tv. no shampoo/soap. Only one person knew anything about yangtzhe cruise and that person wasn't there. Everybody should be well informed about whatever a customer might need.
