  Upon arriving at Hotel Rio Amazonas, it was as if we had come upon a castle in the middle of a bustling city! It has the look of one with the turret and the exterior wonderfully created. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass.   Wow! My husband and I have travelled the world and for the first time in a long time we ended up with an amazing apartment just like it said on the website. Ximena the owner was really nice and very attentive. The apartment was perfect! Clean and just right for the two of us. It was quiet and central too. Moreover, returning from a trip to the Easter Island we used the washing machine and dryer in the 22nd floor and felt like home (even better: one can use it until11pm!). For the airport one can take the taxi in front of the building for a lower price than the shuttle for 2 persons! (13000 CLP). I cannot

We were staying at this hotel at 2 different points on our trip of South America. We asked to leave our bags forr a week at the hotel after our first stay and they were glad to do it. b. The concierge worked with me (because I don't speak Spanish - We arrived at 9am in the morning and we were able to have an available room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at their restaurant and food was excellent. The included breakfast was also excellent with a great variety. I would certainly return to this hotel.
