Wow what a fabulous place. I couldn't believe how big our suite was, more like an apartment.We had a full kitchen as well. The seating area was really comfortable and we had views over the harbour. There was also a hot tub on the balcony which was great just right for watching the sunset. We were in the centre of the town with all the shops and restaurants and there was a good supermarket if you preferred to cook yourself. Near to whale watching companies as well.

It was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor and furniture and outstanding views across the Pacific ocean. The staff and proprietors were lovely, kind and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Himwitsa Lodge. Tofino is a lovely unspoilt place and we hope it remains so. Being from England, we didn't even mind the heavy rain. We loved the location. Perfect to explore the downtown shops and sites. The suite was spacious and clean. Kitchen was great and grocery store only steps away. Our view was a little obscured and disappointing during the day BUT in the evening when it came to having a hot tub, room #4's deck is very private. It felt like we had our own private apartment in Tofino. Clean, quitet. Only 5 suites. Private hot tub. One bedroom suite was very spacious. There were 4 adults and 2 pre teens and we had lots of space. Walking distance to all restaurants. Great little town to walk around. Awesome art gallery below the suites. Very good restaurant as well. Would stay again for sure!. We only stayed one night but found it to be a lovely roomy room...with a kitchenette and hot tub overlooking the harbour! I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Tofino. It was easy walking distance to several shops and restaurants as well. Superior view, from a large balcony, of the water and coastal mountains. Located at the public dock with opportunities for scenic flight tours, boat tours and other related ventures. The room was very spacious and well equipped with kitchen essentials. Excellent location,great staff,only has 5 suites so very quiet,your very own hot tub on balcony overlooking harbour,apartments are very spacious and clean! We enjoyed our stay here very much!. Superb view from wonderfully spacious room, well appointed and so very comfortable. Kitchen facility allowed us to self cater for breakfast and a couple of evening meals. The room was very generous in size. We had a 2 Queen bed room with a view ( no hot tub) Very clean, with a full kitchen and supplies provided. Good value for the money. Hot tub on the patio with views at night where nice, staff helpful and would definitely return. Also the one night booking was nice for a quick get away. We enjoyed the hot tub but this took up a lot of the balcony. Deck was a bit small to sit on because of hot tub and was overlooking road and also building site. Nothing. We missed the personal feeling that checking in at a front desk gives you. For the money you pay we've come to expect a little more personal attention. The only staff we had contact with throughout our stay was the cleaners...who were super and managed to give the place "that friendly Tofino" feeling. Pullout sofa a bit small and not comfortable. Problem solved. We put the mattress on the floor. Lots of room for kids to sleep on the floor. Could have had a bit more cooking utensils eg strainer. Larger sauté pan and LARGE coffee mugs. Really nothing much to complain about!. The only challenge might be the stairs for some potential clients. Room required walking up a flight of stairs. The Lodge appears to be a side-business of the Gallery with no staff available outside business hours. Stairs to access room!. Nothing. Check in / out desk part of shop below accommodation, customer service was poor. not applicable. having to leave. It was all wonderful!. nothing, it was all good. not what we expected. it was large, but decor was ordinary. and be sure to ask if you are being booked into a room in the front right on the bay or a room in the back with peaking views of the bay. There was nothing that I did not like. a bit hard to find. Washroom smelled like sewage... Had to keep the washroom door closed. Having to leave :-) Not wheelchair accessible. did not realize Room 2 did not have a hot-tub on the balcony. only one bed at the first night when I thought I will have two queen size bed. tiny deck with limited ocean view. No Air conditioning. The rooms are over shops and also a restaurant. Booking in at 6 p.m. was a bit tricky as we had to call the owner. The room did overlook the harbour but the view in one direction wasn't very pleasant. It was more basic than we had thought. No curtains on windows so lots of lights in room. couldn't find the password for wifi until next morning, no one to ask at night, tv difficult to understand as directions as well found in morning on top of cabinet tv,. It was big and roomy which was nice but for the price there really wasn't anything extra or special. The coffee machine was broken, the hot tub wasn't clean. It was "okay" but I thought the price was a bit high for how basic it was. The staff of himwitsa lodge.
