  The hotel gave us a very nice clean, large room and large bathroom. It was a front room, first floor and perfect for us. We think that the staff was friendly. Breakfast room with gallery was lovely. Breakfast itself was delicious. We loved their home made croissant! The servers were attentive.   The hotel is well situated near the Berri/UQAM subway station. My room was indeed spacious and comfortable, but also very quiet, even though it faced the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it does offer good value at a modest cost. - Convenient location for a weekend getaway.   The staff were very helpful with any number of things; aiding with parking a vehicle, expediting check-in/check-out procedures, and recommending great restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel lobby and common areas were very tastefully decorated and the rooms were comfortable, although a bit small and some areas seemed a bit dingy. Overa... what people say » ll, though, it was a great value and the rooms were certainly sufficient for a visit which allowed us to enjoy the best parts of Vieux Quebec. The loc - We got one of the 5th floor rooms, which meant it was really quiet. It also meant 5 flights of narrow stairs. Of course, since it's a historical building (like much of Quebec City) building codes prevent the addition of elevators, so this is par for the course. Beautifully reno'd room and bathroom, though the ceiling was a bit low due to the angle of the roof. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants in the old city (and the lower old city, too, which was a bit cheaper).
